SHE TESTIFIED IN WASHINGTON AND WORK CLOSELY WITH THE GROUP COMPASSION IN CHOICES WHICH IS LEADING THE EFFORT. THE NEW JERSEY LAW CALLED MEDICAL AID IN DYING FOR TERMINALLY ILL GOES INTO EFFECT AUGUST 1ST. THERE IS A LONG LIST OF CRITERIA FOR THE PATIENT. YOU HAVE TO BE AN ADULT. THINKS A SELF ADMINISTERED ORAL MEDICATION IN THE FORM OF A POWDER THAT IS MIXED IN A LIQUID. NEW JERSEY JOINS SEVEN OTHER STATES THAT HAVE RIGHT TO DIE LAWS. THE AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION HAS BEEN AGAINST PHYSICIAN ASSISTED SUICIDES BUT SAYS DOCTORS SHOULD HAVE CONSIDERABLE LATITUDE AND MEDICAL IS HE SITE OF NEW JERSEY IS ALSO AGAINST THE NEW LAWS, BUT HAS ADOPT SOD GUIDELINES PRINCIPAL THAT IS INCLUDE RESPECTING PATIENT RIGHTS.
