LIVE. SHANNON: IT CAME DOWN TO THE
11TH HOUR TO PASS REFORMS LAID
OUT IN THAT GRAND JURY REPORT. STATE LAWMAKERS DID NOT PASS
ANYTHING. THE SENATE DID PROPOSE A BILL
WITH A FEW CHANGES. THE VERSION WOULD HAVE REMOVED
INSTITUTIONS FROM ANY TWO-YEAR
LEGAL WINDOW. INSTEAD, VICTIMS CAN ONLY SUE
INDIVIDUAL ACCUSERS. AFTER THAT WAS SHOT DOWN LATE
LAST NIGHT, WE HEARD FROM SOME
PEOPLE VERY ROSTRAVER. — SOME PEOPLE VERY FRUSTRATED.>>THEY MADE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE
OF THEIR LIFE TODAY. THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE TO ANSWER
TO THEIR CONSTITUENTS. AND MY MESSAGE IS CLEAR TO THOSE
CONSTITUENTS. IF YOUR SENATOR DOES NOT SUPPORT
A TWO-YEAR WINDOW, YOU VOTE THEM
OUT OF OFFICE. SHANNO NOW, STATE LAWMAKERS
WILL HAVE TO START THIS ENTIRE
PROCESS ALL OVER AGAIN IN THE
NEXT LEGISLATIVE SESSION WHICH
IS IN THE NEW YEAR.
