Gotta love how congressmen seem to be unaffected – well, beyond a twitter statement or a facebook post – when such shootings occur (and they are gonna keep happening), but suddenly start acting verly caring and human when these occur near the elections…
Anyone who thinks some republican senators suddenly developed a human heart – don't be naive. It's not conscience, it's wanting to maintain a chance to win he elections. Nohing's gonna change at the end of the day, Americans will go on enjoying the right to shoot each other to their heart's content – after all, it's the land of the free, isn't it?

You have blood on your hand. Your Antifa buddy that went shooting up people Dayton. Denounce publicly Antifa over and over like you call Trump a racist, than maybe you will have some gravitas. Until you own up to the hatred you have spewed on this network by lying about him and calling him a racist for everything under the sun, you have no credibility. Until you stop trying your hardest in making these murders famous in hopes that their will be copy cats so you can call Trump a racist again and again you have blood on your hands. You are the problem you are the one glorifying these murders and you have blood on your hand.

People better worry more about serious personality disorders then mental health issues, someone who has a personality disorder like Borderline personality disorder are more of a threat than someone who has Schizophrenia, bopolar disorder and any other mental health issue. Personality disorders are not the same as a mental health problem, you don't qualify for disability with a personality disorder.

Waaaaaaaait up, if mental illness is defined in stats by people who are diagnosed (and prescribed?) then everyone undiagnosed is not mentally ill? Methinks you have more mentally ill people self medicating with endorphin inducing hate speech online and their pea brains become such poisoned nuggets off they go eventually to enact their solution.
I have s theory the introduction of YouTube trolls that argued and insulted each other in online comments years ago, igniting online keyboard bloodlust, were part of a long game. Probably Russian. Or possibly one of the big world families. Itโ€™s fascinating but itโ€™s obscene, grim, and not โ€œgreatโ€. I love America, the USA, Iโ€™ve been several times for months at a time across many states east to west. The people are unique in the world now, the southern blacks made me feel the most welcome (I know blacks is probably now the wrong term sorry) .. but I can never visit again while itโ€™s like this. And to continue a borderline racist sounding post, I canโ€™t enjoy my homelands in Europe anymore for holidays because the Chinese tourists poke your eyes out with sun umbrellas to prevent their white skin browning, and I sick up in my mouth when I see them with their selfie sticks falling down stairs at holy places ๐Ÿ˜‘๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿผ

I always thought of open carry as a hold over from the "Wild West" days and a "macho" thing, so I am not at all surprised that it is the women who are saying WTF! Gun owners are in the minority and it seems strange that the majority of Americans are being held hostage by a minority group that in some cases are quite fanatical. Sensible gun ownership laws are a must to keep children safe.

Guns are at the core of a world civilization that is incapable of coming to the conclusion that we are not as intelligent as we would like to think we are. We are so painfully immature. The fact we make guns and promote violence ( IE: Movies, Books, games, WAR.) is testimony to that. We glorify war , praise and venerate those who participate in it. WE NEED TO STOP AND TAKE A REAL HARD LOOK AT OURSELVES.

I have a question for Americans, your citizens sue each other for the most trivial of things, why aren't gun and ammo manufacturers being sued for every gun related death/injury? Maybe there are laws protecting them because the guns are doing what they are designed to do? Therefore no liability as there would be for any other product which caused a death or injury?

Maybe there needs to be laws put in place where the victims are allowed to sue manufacturers and at the rate people are shot in America the manufacturers will be out of business pretty quickly, problem solved.

And if the manufacturers don't want to be sued they back tighter restrictions.

Doing something results in loss of NRA money and the greedy politicians have no intention of losing all that lovely money. Interestingly they have bastardized the Constitution in order to misquote and muddy the interpretation of the 2nd Amendment, which says that gun ownership is for the express purpose of forming a well-regulated militia. The current guns bear no resemblance to the guns of the day when the Constitution was written.

These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever! ' That statistic has failed to tally the number of shooters who are dosed with Anti-Depressants. / While this drug co-factor is available from police reports, it is not reported by NBC; so is this to blind the public about the disconnecting effects of psy drugs – marketed by psychiatrists for Big Pharma? / Psychiatrist Allen Francis has taken this stand with: " Psy Drugs cause mass shootings! " He said this, after the Sandy Hook massacre. ( My best sources are the Niagara Falls Reporter from 2011, and the works of Peter Breggin & Thomas Szasz. )

Tally up the cumulative cost of damage caused by guns then attach a surcharge on the manufacturer to cover that cost. Do a ballistic match on each gun linked to the weapon's owner and it's serial number. Keep the data in a bank for reference. Then confiscate all illegal or unregistered guns. Make it illegal to take an unregistered gun to a range. Just like cars, simple.

As a hunter and avid shooter, I gave up on the NRA around 1988. They shifted from a safety and education based platform, to a militaristic mission-bound one whose only concern was selling more guns, and preferable those of advertisers, with no concern for public safety. I strongly favor numerous avenues in an approach toward greater public safety, and renounce the NRA hardheartedly.

Blaming gun violence on mental illness is to further stigmatize an already stigmatized group of people. That blaming is of course just deflections, but it's harmful none the less. It's good that Rachel brought it up.

  • Casey28xxx Post author

It's assumed that mental illness is to blame because most folks can't understand how a rational human being could do such an evil act. The answer is simple, humans are not rational, nor do they all think, act and feel exactly the same as we think we should. This happens BECAUSE we are all so very different in how we perceive the world around us and what INFLUENCES from our world we allow to shape our thoughts.

  • Denyze Post author

Trump, stop abusing people who have mental health diagnoses.
We know the research shows that people with mental health diagnoses are less likely to commit acts of violence.
Trump however does not believe in science.
