Sandra: Welcome to another episode of We Don’t
Die, where my goal is to give you evidence that although our bodies will disappear, we
survive physical death. I’m your host, Sandra Champlain, author of
the international best-selling book called We Don’t Die: A Skeptic’s Discovery of Life
After Death. Before I introduce you to our guest today,
I’m wondering if you want to play a little game with me. Have you ever noticed that there’s this little
voice in our head? Some people call it the inner-critic, some
call it the committee, some call it the negative Nancy. I’m sorry if your name is Nancy. But, when we look in the mirror, we often
are not filled with empowering thoughts. It’s often that we are too old, or too big
whatever it is, it is my request for all of us to be conscious on this show today and
even the rest of your day. Pay attention to what that voice says. It’s very often not our friend; it is often
criticizing and talking negative-talk. It’s not seeing everything through the lens
of possibility and what may be possible. As we, on this show, talk about some pretty
wild, incredible journeys and shows, just pay attention to that little voice. If it is chiming in with it’s two cents, let’s
try to make a practice of setting it aside for this hour and really listening. When you can pay attention and be in the present
moment, you hear some things that you wouldn’t normally hear if you were just paying attention
to that voice. So, I hope that I made myself clear there
and I’m asking you to do it, pretty much, because I’m asking me to do it. I don’t ask you to do anything I’m not taking
on myself. So, let’s get onto our show. This is episode 75, I am thrilled to say. Coming to us from British-Columbia, we have
Garnet Schulhauser. Garnet is a retired lawyer who practiced corporate
law for over 30 years. In 2007, he had an experience that changed
his life forever. I’m going to let Garnet tell his story in
a minute, so I won’t tell you anymore. After he retired from his law firm, he began
his new career as an author, sharing that incredible experience in both of his books. His books are Dancing on a Stamp: Startling
Revelations from the Other Side and Dancing with Spirit: Astonishing Insights from Heaven. Garnet is now speaking and talking on stages
and has shared his story with many other radio shows, and he comes very highly-recommended
from one of my favorite listeners, so; Garnet Schulhauser, welcome to We Don’t Die Radio. Garnet: Thank you, Sandra. Thanks for inviting me, I’m delighted to be
here. Sandra: Me too, I just have a big smile on
my face So, I haven’t been to your area of the world. You’re on Vancouver island in British-Columbia,
right? Garnet: Yes, Vancouver island which is near
Victoria, at the very southern tip of the island. Sandra: Ah, an area I’d love to get to that
I haven’t been to yet. So, thank you, and I’m on the other side of
the coast. I’m in Massachusetts in the USA talking to
you today. You’re married with a little dog, I hear? Garnet: Yes, my wife is Kathy and I have a
miniature Schnauzer named Abbey. Sandra: Ah, dogs are just incredible. In fact, all pets are. So, if you wouldn’t mind, just talk a bit
about you and what exactly happened? You’ve told your story more times than I’ve
read it, so can you give us a little back story of you being a lawyer and then what
happened to turn you into this author who is really interested in making a difference? Garnet: Yeah, it happened while I was still
practicing law back in 2007. I was very much of a straight-laced, button-down
corporate lawyer. I never talked about spirituality, religion,
or anything like that. I was raised as a Roman Catholic in a very
religious family, and I severed as an altar boy for many years. By the time I hit my 20’s and 30’s, I began
to question most of those beliefs and rejected them because they didn’t make sense to me. I was casting about for a new para-dime to
latch onto. I was constantly asking myself the eternal
questions of life, such as who am I? Why am I here? What’s my life’s purpose? And, of course, the big one what happens when
we die? Sandra: Boy, I know those questions really
well.>>LAUGHTER Garnet: Everyone asks those at one point or
another, Sandra. Sandra: Sure. Garnet: I was looking for answers. In 2007, I was going for a stroll one sunny
afternoon in May, just down the street from my office, and out of nowhere a homeless man
jumps out in front of me. He just seemed to pop out of nowhere, standing
right in front of me. He looked like a typical homeless man he had
long, stringy and greasy hair with a straggly beard and dirty, slept on clothes. He smelled like he hadn’t had a shower in
over two weeks. Sandra: Wow. Garnet: He really fit the part. Usually, when I had met these people before
on the street, I would just side-step them and go around them. Most often, they were panhandling for money. This guy was different. He was different because he had these amazing,
sparkling, and dazzling blue eyes. What they were doing is that, first of all,
his gaze was penetrating deep within me. It felt like he was penetrating into the depths
of my soul. I sensed that he knew everything about me,
like my history. He knew everything I’d said and done, my fears
and anxiety’s, my hopes and aspirations, and my deepest and darkest secrets. I was puzzled since I didn’t know this man
before, but I sensed that he knew everything about me. At the same time, his eye’s were sending waves
of pure, unconditional love that was infusing my body with a sense of peace and security
as well as well-being and it was quite an amazing feeling. I stood there, sort of lapping all of this
up because it was such a wonderful experience and it was like I was in a time-trap because
I didn’t know how long I stood there. I didn’t care how long I stood there. I could’ve stayed there forever, just taking
in the love coming from this man. And then, he broke the spell by saying to
me, why are you here? And then, he quickly disappeared into a nearby
store. When I finally collected my wits, I went into
the store to try and find him but he was nowhere to be seen. There was only one entrance and exit and he
hadn’t came out, but he wasn’t in t he store. I walked back out into the street, walking
up and down to hope I would spot him, thinking he slipped past me. After ten or 15 minutes, I realized that he
disappeared into thin air. Nowhere to be seen. That night, as I was driving back to my home
after work, I thought, you know, I really have to go and find this guy and find out
who he was and why he stopped me, what it was all about. The next day, at the same time and the same
street, I went back there to try and find him. I walked up and down for maybe ten or 15 minutes. I was about to lose hope, when I spotted him
sitting on a bench by himself. I walked up to him and asked him who he was
and why he stopped me the other day. Sandra: Right. Garnet: He said that he was a soul just like
me and he was here to answer my questions and help me on my journey. At that time, my skeptical lawyer brain kicked
in and I said to him, why do you think you can help me when you can’t even help yourself? Sandra: That’s a fair question. Garnet: Because, it looks like you’ve been
sleeping on the street for weeks and you smell like a dead fish. Well, he just gave me a big smile and said,
you know, looks can be deceiving because you look like you’re a very successful corporate
lawyer with everything under control, but we both know that’s just a fassade. Sandra: Wow. Garnet: He said that I could turn around and
go back to my office, trying to find the answers you’ve been seeking for years on all the e-mails
waiting for you on the computer, or you could sit down and have a chat with me. Luckily, my common sense told me that I had
nothing to lose by talking to this guy. It was only a half-hour of my day; big deal. I had to sit down and explore the matter with
him further. I found out, early on, that he said that his
name was Albert and he was actually one of my spirit guides in disguise. He told me that I was the only one who could
see him in physical form, so that if anybody else had been passing along the street that
day, they would’ve seen me sitting on the bench myself, talking to myself. The first three times that he appeared in
my life, he showed up as the homeless person. After that, he was just a voice in my head
and we communicated by telepathy. Sandra: Now that’s wild. That’s incredible. Garnet: So, I was curious and I said to him
further on in our dialog, I asked him why he showed up as the homeless man since we
were now communicating with telepathy. He said that it was his way of easing me into
the conversation, because had he just began talking to me out of the blue as a voice in
my head, I would’ve thought I was losing my mind. This way, I related to him as a physical person. He was there. He felt just like a regular person. And so, when he began talking to me by telepathy,
I recognized his voice. I was comfortable with him and I was happy
to carry on our conversations. It was a very clever way for him to introduce
himself to me. Sandra: Wow. Garnet, can I just go back to the first few
times you met him? When he nailed right on that you’re an attorney
and go back to your office, the e-mails and questions you have certainly, it was worth
your time to sit with him, but that must’ve been a really profound moment. How does this guy know this about me? The only thing I can think of is that I grew
up Roman Catholic myself, and I would just imagine; if people would have those encounters
with meeting Jesus for the first time, way back when. Garnet: Well, it was quite an astonishing
moment because I knew there was something special about him because of his eyes. But, when I started talking to him, he spoke
with such wisdom and clarity that it just came through as like, okay, this guy is very
special and he probably; initially, I was questioning if he really was a spirit guide,
but after a few conversations I clearly believe that he was. What he spoke was the truth. So, it was quite amazing because at that point,
I wasn’t even aware that I had spirit guides and he came into my life and said, yeah, I’m
one of your spirit guides. You have several others. I came here to answer your questions and furthermore,
what he told me early on was that he wasn’t here just to satisfy my curiosity but also
he wanted me to write a book on his revelations, so everyone else would have access to what
he told me. Sandra: Yeah. Garnet: That took me back a bit, because I
had never dreamed to write a book. I was reluctant initially, digging in my heels
a bit. But, the spirit can be persistent as you know,
Sandra. Finally, I said alright Albert, I’ll write
the book. That resulted in my first book, Dancing on
a Stamp. Sandra: Wow. Garnet, when he first came into your mind,
how did you know it wasn’t just your imagination? Garnet: When he first came by telepathy? Sandra: By telepathy, yeah. Garnet: I clearly recognized his voice from
when I first met him in the physical form. I recognized his voice so there was no doubt
about it. This was the same person. Clearly, it wasn’t my imagination because
it was a conversation. I would ask questions and he would give me
answers that I would’ve never dreamt of, up in my own mind. It was clearly a conversation with another
entity, no doubt about that. Sandra: I mentioned at the beginning of the
show about the inner-critic we all have. If you pay attention to it, it’s usually your
own voice. When you distinctly hear someone else voice
and it comes in a conversation manner, yeah it does sound like the real. Then, what happened? He asked you to write a book and how did that
unfold from there? Garnet: Well, I didn’t tell anyone about my
encounter initially, not even my wife. I was concerned about what she and other people
would say. Sandra: Crazy, yeah. Garnet: What do you mean you’re talking to
spirit guides? You’re losing your mind. You’re becoming senile early. Slowly, I dribbled out to my wife that I was
writing a book. Eventually, I said that it was about meeting
a homeless man and finally I let on that the homeless man was a spirit guide. She took it well, because she is quite spiritual
herself. Sandra: Okay, good. Garnet: She had a couple of spiritual encounters
with her deceased mother and father, not too long after they passed away. She was very much into this. She’s very supportive. My two sons were supportive, as well. I knew I was reluctant to have my book published
once I had written the manuscript because I was afraid of what my friends and former
law colleagues and clients may think, because this was very much out of character for me
in terms of what they knew of me before I met Albert. And so, I debated it for a long time and finally,
as my fellow co-author Sherry Cortland put it, I decided to come out of the spiritual
closet. And so, I just; fine. I’m going to publish the book, let the chips
fall where they may. I knew I was going to lose some people and
I did. Some of my former colleagues and friends have
basically shunned me and not spoken to me since I released the book. They may think I’m losing my mind. They’d never say that to my face, but I suspect
that’s what they think. A lot of the former group were very supportive. Lots of them said good for you to have the
courage to write the book and publish it. It was a mixed reaction, overall. I won many more new friends than I lost, so
it was a positive reaction, overall. Sandra: Fear can be so crippling, both from
your point of view, you know I have a book named We Don’t Die and nobody knew I was interested
in that sort of thing. It’s scary putting it out there and you find,
like me, that there’s more people interested than are afraid and will cast you aside and
you do get a lot more friends and I think that your quality of life improves when you
begin sharing what you really love, right? Garnet: Absolutely. Yeah. It was a major transformation for me. Before, I was an analytical, skeptical lawyer
and I took a different fork in the road. I view things very much differently. I view people differently. I’m not as judgmental, and because I understand
why I’m here and where I’m going, I’m not as stressed out about it and I’m certainly
not afraid of death. I know where I’m going and I know that I have
a mission to continue and fulfill here on Earth. I’m doing my best to do it and to fulfill
that mission and I certainly enjoy life more than when I was practicing law, no question. Sandra: Wow. This brings me to the title of the show, which
is We Don’t Die. From your conversations with Albert and what
you learned, if you wouldn’t mind talk to us about what you learned about life-after-death
and we can get into life’s purpose and other brilliant things that fill the books. Why do you believe, from these conversations,
that we don’t die? Garnet: Well, because he very convincingly
told me. It’s not news to you but he said, look it,
you and everyone else, you’re all eternal souls. Sandra: Right. Garnet: You’re created by the source, which
some refer to as god. We’re part of the source, connected to it
and to also each other. There is no death to us. Our physical bodies will die, of course, but
then our souls just move on and we go back to the spirit-side where we came from. The spirit-side, some refer to as Heaven,
is a beautiful place. That’s our true home and where we are beings
of energy, Sandra, and that’s our true nature and identity. You know for sure, everyone lives past our
physical death. There’s no exceptions. Everyone goes back to the spirit-side. Contrary to what the Catholic Church taught
me and I’m sure they taught you this as well is that the source doesn’t judge us after
we pass away. It doesn’t punish us if we haven’t followed
all the rules. There is no Hell or Satan; everyone goes back
to the same place We’re here to learn and experience things we need in our evolution
as souls. No matter how many times we may go off course
or how many mistakes we make, then we always end up on the spirit-side. He said that’s the way it works; we’re in
a cycle of reincarnation on Earth and that’s how it works. You begin on the spirit-side, you incarnate,
your body dies and you return to the spirit-side. Sandra: What do we do on the spirit-side? Any words on what it’s like and what we do
there? Garnet: It’s a great place. It’s very much like the Heaven some religions
describe. We don’t have physical bodies. We don’t need to eat, drink, breathe, or procreate. Through thought creation, we can basically
anything that we want instantaneously through the power of thought. It’s a very happy place, there is nothing
but unconditional love. Sandra: I love that. Garnet: There’s no negative emotions fear,
hate anger; just pure, unconditional love. It’s a place where we can acquire knowledge,
try to grow and evolve as souls and one of the things we when we’re back on the spirit-side
is that we look to incarnate on the denser planes such as Earth so that we can experience
things that we need and we feel that we need for our evolution. When you finish this life, you go back to
the spirit-side and the first thing you’ll do is have a life review. This is in which you go over your most recent
life in minute detail, however you want to do it, and you can watch everything you’ve
done like you’ve watched a 3D movie. Or, you can jump back into your body and sort
of relive parts of your life. The other thing, of course, is that the beauty
of the life review is that you get to feel the emotions and hear the thoughts of the
people that you’ve interacted with during your life. That’s a great learning tool, because so often
we can go through our life stepping on other’s toes without really realizing it and in the
life review, you can feel the hurt and the anguish of the person that you’ve offended,
even if you didn’t intend to harm them. And so, it’s a great learning tool. When you finish the life review, you can decide
if you want to hang around the spirit-side for awhile, or you can plan your next life
on Earth. You can also plan your life on the dense planes
on another planet in the universe. It’s entirely up to us. No one decides for us to come here, it’s of
our own volition and it’s solely designed to give us the experiences that we need to
help us grow. Sandra: Wow. How about the other people in our lives now? I’ve lost my dad and my grandmother as well
as my grandfather; is there reassurance that we’ll see them again? Also, as you’re talking about reincarnation
I’ve heard people say before that we can reincarnate in these soul groups and when we come back,
people take on different parts of; we’re different players in the game when we do it again. Did you get any information of that from Albert? Garnet: Absolutely. Albert said that we do travel in soul groups. The reason for that is that it alternates
roles in various incarnations, so sometimes you’re the father and somebody else is the
daughter and the next time, you’re the niece and someone else is the uncle. We change roles. We sort of travel through various incarnations
on Earth and it’s just designed to make it easier for us to plan our lives, because when
you’re planning your life, preparing your life plan, you have to have the cooperation
of the other souls who will be a major part of your life like your parents, siblings,
your spouse they have to agree to be a part of your life and you have to agree to be in
theirs. It works easier, Albert says, if you’re traveling
as a group because you’re used to each others goals and desires and you are happy to help
them on their evolution and vice-versa. Yeah, you do travel in soul groups. In response to seeing deceased parents, absolutely
that you will. Albert says that when you pass over, you’re
welcomed by a welcoming group. That welcoming group is your parents, grandparents,
aunts, uncles, all these people you’re close to that have passed on. They’ll be around to give you a hug to reassure
you that they’re fine and they welcome you back and help you on your transition. You’ll definitely see them. In fact, your parents are likely a part of
your soul groups. You’ve probably had other lives on Earth before
with them. Sandra: That’s great news. From where they are, can they still be in
communication with us? Or, are they busy? Is there like classrooms on the other side? I’ve talked to many guests and I really want
to believe that my dad is only a thought away and that he can hear my thoughts and things
like that, but do we still have a relationship even though they are invisible? Garnet: Oh, yes. According to Albert, they can communicate
with us. They don’t necessarily do it all that often,
but when they feel the need to, then they’ll communicate or leave a sign, do something
in the physical environment to let us know they’re here and watching over us. They do watch over us. Albert says that people on the other side
can really multitask so there are classrooms with lectures. Sandra: You’re funny. Garnet: They attend sporting events and can
do all sorts of things. They do it all at once since linear time doesn’t
exist on the spirit-side. There’s only present moment; there’s no past
or future. It’s one present moment and they can do many
things. They can be attending a classroom while at
the same time watching what you’re doing. It’s comforting and it’s nice to know that
they are there. It’s a bit frustrating if you want to have
a direct communication, say, with your father and it doesn’t seem to be getting through. It is getting through to him, but you’re not
necessarily hearing the reply back. Sometimes, you may and other times you may
not. Sandra: Right, right. You bring up the prepare your life plan at
the beginning, you said yes, you had some profound questions such as life’s purpose. Do we each have a life purpose? Do we, you say creating your life’s plan;
do we, before we come here, say that this is what I’m setting out to learn? Garnet: Yes, you have a definite goal before
you incarnate and you incorporate things into your life plan to help you reach that goal
and meet the challenges you want to meet and overcome. You have a definite plan. In your life plan, you will pick out the major
things of your proposed life. These are things like where to be born, the
identity of your parents, and the identity of your siblings and other people. But, because once you’re born, you then don’t
remember what is in the life plan and because you have freewill to act then you stray off
course. Your life isn’t pre-determined. You set out a blue print of what you hope
to accomplish, knowing full-well that once you’re born you may not meet it or follow
it closely. That’s a part of being human and on Earth. You have a definite plan in mind, but the
chances of you hitting all the points 100% are fairly remote because you’re often going
to miss things and when you hit a fork-in-the-road in terms of what fork to take, you get guidance
from your spirit-guides. They send you messages telling you which way
to go, but humans don’t always hear those messages because they’re very subtle. You mentioned at the beginning of the show
of a whisper in your mind, that voice talking to you oftentimes, that is one of your guides
trying to guide you and tell you which direction you should go. Sometimes, you hear it and sometimes you don’t. You know, other examples are flashes and intuitions,
gut feelings, coincidental events; those are all designed by your guides to give you a
message about how to get you back on your life plan path if you’ve strayed off. Some people hear them and some people don’t. Other people will hear them and rationalize
a different response because your mind has it’s own sort of desires and goals and your
mind doesn’t know what was in your life plan, so you often have a bit of a conflict between
what your mind wants to do and your soul and guides want you to do. But, you have a very definite purpose when
you design your life plan. It doesn’t always pan out 100%. Sandra: Is there a way that we can tap into
what our life’s purpose is here and now? I know at different times of my life, I’ve
just been so confused and not even knew if I was on the right path. I mean, is there a way that we can figure
it out? Garnet: There’s no easy way, according to
Albert. One way is to listen to the messages you receive
from your guides. That isn’t easy. As you probably know, quieting your mind through
meditation lets you hear more of these messages, but you have to listen very carefully. It’s not easy. It wasn’t intended to be easy, Sandra. As Albert said to me, you know, and I’ve asked
him this when we have our conversations it’s like you and I conversing. It’s very direct and there’s nothing hazy
about it. It’s a direct communication. I’ve asked him for personal advice in my life
and he has said I’m not going to give that to you because it’d be too easy for you. If I did that and told you each step of the
way of what you should be doing, it’d defeat the whole purpose of you being here for the
challenges that you set out for the rest of your life. That’s why with most people’s guides, they
don’t have the direct communication that I have with Albert because that’d just be too
easy. So, life is a challenge on Earth. It’s a tough school one of the toughest in
the universe. We’re here to figure out what we should be
doing, where we should be heading without sort of a direct step-by-step guidance from
our guides. It’s frustrating, but that’s just a part of
life on Earth. Sandra: I’ve found, too, that and you may
agree if any one of us listening right now, just ask yourself quietly in your own head,
what’s the thing you’re most proud of in your life? Something that you did. When you look, it’s usually something that
required a lot of work. In my case, who I had to rise to be to be
by my father’s side as he was dying, granted; I’ve never would’ve seen myself as a patient
advocate and doing everything I needed to do in the hospital. But, how I was with my dad and being strong
in the moment that he was dying was difficult, but in turn, it’s the thing I’m most proud
of. I can see where the answers just don’t come
easily. We have to experience them, you know? Sometimes they come through in our hardest
times where we get the most growth and can see those things, right? Garnet: Absolutely. As many people have said you learn more from
the difficult than from your successes. That’s very true. There, you have to be strong and you have
to resolve to overcome the challenge and move on with your life. It’s very easy to have a bunch of wins in
a row, but you actually learn more from your defeats and the difficult times. Sandra: Mmhm. I can get that. Let’s talk a bit about spirit-guides, because
your a friend of Roberta Grimes. I had her on two episodes ago and she’s just
fantastic. She was mentioning that, too. Who are these guides? Do we all have them? Are we led to believe that even though I’m
thinking that I’m sitting here alone that I have support from an invisible source? Garnet: Yes. We all have spirit-guides, anywhere from two
to three and sometimes they go up much higher. Your guides are like your coaches and they
are souls on the spirit-side whose primary function is to watch what you’re doing during
your life and to send you messages and try to provide you guidance. They’re there 24/7. They never leave you. Usually, quite often, they’re a part of your
soul groups. With Albert, he and I had previous lives on
Earth before. Now, this time, he volunteered to be one of
my guides for this current life and I have two others. I’ve met one of them and her name is Elena. I haven’t met the other one. But, I know they’re there and they’re always
trying to help me out and guide me. They’re like coaches. What happens in addition is that every night
when we sleep, Sandra, our souls actually leave our physical bodies, temporarily, travel
to other parts of the planet or back to the spirit-side and there we have a huddle or
consultation with our guides to discuss how we’re doing so far, what we should try to
do next and where we go from there. In the morning, you go back into your body. Of course, you don’t remember those consultations
but you’re constantly sort of conferring with your guides and sometimes you’re actually
fine-tuning and making amendments to your life plan based upon what you’ve already experienced. It’s an intimate, ongoing relationship. Sandra: Hm. I can only remember some dreams I’ve never
remembered an interaction like that. Is it normal we don’t remember those interactions? Garnet: Yes, it’s normal that you’re not allowed
to remember having these meetings with your guides or that you even leave your body. It’s very normal and it’s intended, very normal. Most people don’t. It’s just a part of the incarnation process. They don’t want you to remember that you have
a life plan or that you came from the spirit-side or have guides because it would affect your
life on Earth. They want you to sort of have a challenge
of living on Earth without really knowing where you came from or where you are going. That’s just part of the challenge of a human
on Earth. Sandra: Yeah, I can get that. Most definitely. Let’s talk about your books, Dancing on a
Stamp. That’s a very clever title. What is that meaning and where did you get
that from? Garnet: Well, during one of my conversations
with Albert. I had been complaining to him about something
not going right in my life. He said to me that you know, here’s your problem. Imagine that the world is like a big, beautiful
ballroom. It’s got gleaming hardwood floors and sunlight
is coming into the stained glass windows. The band is playing amazing dance music. Everyone around you is up and dancing and
swirling around the whole ballroom, enjoying life and the dance. He said to me that you spent too much of your
time on one spot, like you’re wearing leg shackles and you need to cast off your shackles
and quit dancing on a stamp. That phrase stuck in my mind that he said
that I was dancing on a stamp and I needed to get out and explore the rest of the ballroom. And so, when I was casting about for a title
on my first book, that phrase stuck into my mind and so I finally asked Albert if it was
a good title for a first book. He said absolutely and I should go for it. Sandra: I love explore the rest of the ballroom. It’s so easy to be a creature of habit, whether
it’s the same foods you eat or people you hang out or vacations you take, just things
you do. But, I tell you, life gets juicy when you
get courageous and get to try something new, do something you wouldn’t normally do. I like that advice. Garnet: Absolutely, it’s good advice for everyone
and I’ve tried to follow it and I think I have since I’ve certainly expanded my horizons. I’ve broken away from the rut of being a lawyer
and now I’m into new things and I quite enjoy it and I’m certainly more fulfilled because
of it. Sandra: Yeah, definitely. There’s a sense of fulfillment. What do you talk about, I know Dancing on
a Stamp: Startling Revelations on the Other Sides. I know there are questions I should ask, but
I’m not sure which ones. What sort of life revelations other than life’s
purpose I want to give you the floor a bit, so to speak, to share some of the passionate
things you’ve learned about what life is about and things we need to know that can empower
us today. Garnet: Well, one of the things that sort
of sticks in my mind is that he said, look it; you create your own reality on Earth. First of all, you set up your life situation
through your pre-birth planning and then you create the rest of your reality from the free-willed
reactions of what happens to you. You’re the author of your own fortunes or
misfortunes. Because of that, you can’t blame anybody for
whatever happens to you in your life. He says that the source doesn’t manipulate
or control events in your life, which is contrary to what a lot of the religions say. They say that you have good fortune because
god decided to bestow that upon you. You have misfortune because god is unhappy
with you. It’s totally wrong. God doesn’t manipulate things or cause things
to happen to you when you’re traveling on your Earth journey. And so, it’s your own journey and you can
create what you want of it and no matter what happens to you, you can either have a positive
attitude or a negative attitude. It’s entirely up to you. You should never consider yourself to be a
victim or some random act of the universe. You’re never a victim. You create your own reality. That was sort of an eye-opener. The other thing that really surprised me a
bit, Sandra, was that he said that no one on Earth dies by accident. Sandra: Hm. Garnet: He said, you know, even though a plane
may crash and 300 people perish it seems like an accident but it isn’t. You leave your physical body and die when
your soul is ready to leave and your soul has the absolute final say on when that’ll
happen. And so, somebody dies in a car accident and
it may seem like an accident but it’s not. The person’s soul decided that was a good
place to exit and so that is when it happens. That was sort of a surprise. Sandra: That is a hard concept to get when
you’ve lost a child, or when you’ve lost somebody by an accident. When something really horrible happens. I think that in the midst of it, we aren’t
meant to remember the bigger picture. It’s something where that little voice can
chime in and just set it aside if you’re thinking about how can this be? One thing that I bring up time-after-time,
which is watching my father die and going through his incredibly painful death and the
fights I had with my siblings and such. Granted, it was the worst time of my life. In the midst of it, there is no way in heck
that I would think that I planned this and dad went on his own accord and that this should’ve
been, but now several years afterwards and looking back, everything had to take place
the way it did for me to be where I am now, for the level of compassion I’ve learned and
the strength that I’ve built. So, um. Garnet: Absolutely, I agree. Your dad’s soul chose the time to exit. It’s not just for his benefit, but oftentimes
when someone is dying, it is to help other people with their challenges as well. Obviously, it was a big effect on you and
it got you off on the course that you’re now on. So, he did you a favor and then made an exit
when he was ready to go. Sandra: Yeah. Garnet: That happens because souls interact
with one another, and they know the plan and try to fulfill it. The mind doesn’t remember what happens, but
things usually unfold the way they should. Sandra: We just have to trust the process
as painful as it can be. What else did you learn? Garnet: Well, you know, Albert said that not
only can we incarnate on the Earth-plane as humans but also as animals and some of us
have. He basically said that animals have souls
just like humans and when I questioned him on it, he said, you know look at the eye’s
of the little dog and you’ll find your answer and confirmation of animals having souls. That was a bit of a surprise to me and other
people. He basically said, though, that when a soul
tries to first incarnate on Earth then typically they’ll start off with a more simple lifeform
such as animals because they aren’t complex. Humans are complex, you know, so chances are
that you’re incarnated as a human and you may or not have had previous lives on Earth
but a lot of people have. Not only have you had them on Earth, but there
are millions of planets with different lifeforms. Some are more advanced than humans, some less
so. We can incarnate on any of those. It’s our choice entirely. It’s entirely up to us. We can incarnate on Earth as many times as
we want, and when we decide in our own humans that we’ve learned all that we will learn
or we’re just tired of incarnating here, then we can just stop our incarnations on Earth
and go somewhere else or stay on the spirit-side. It’s entirely up to us. It’s very much of a; we have the whole universe
open to us and we can go where ever we want to. Sandra: Wow. Roberta Grimes on our episode said something
to me that I never had really heard before. She said that there are souls that would just
love to be in a human body. So, bottom line is feel lucky that you have
one. Don’t curse the one that you’re in. She just painted this picture that we should
feel really fortunate that we are incarnated in a human form and we do have life to grow,
learn and in this body is when we can experience the good stuff. All the emotions, the education for the soul. Does that go along with what you believe? Garnet: Yeah. Albert didn’t mention that there was sort
of a waiting list to get into a body. That may be so, I’ll have to ask him about
that Sandra. What he did say was that humans should pat
yourself on the back for being here, because it takes a very courageous soul to jump into
a human body on Earth. It’s a very tough school, so the people who
are here probably have had a fair bit of experience elsewhere before they tackled the Earth-plane
because it’s a tough school. I don’t know how many other lives I have had
elsewhere, or how many we had we’ll find that out on the spirit-side, but it’s certainly
a very challenging environment and I will ask Albert whether there’s a line-up of souls
waiting to get into a body. That’s an interesting concept. Sandra: So, you’re still in communication
with Albert. Garnet: Absolutely, yes. I should tell you that after my first set
of dialogs with Albert that resulted in my first book, he then came back to me in a different
format. Through most of the dialog, we spoke by telepathy
in question and answer. After I had finished the manuscript, I hadn’t
heard from him in a couple of months and suddenly I woke up one night in my bed and I saw this
ghost-like, ethereal figure standing in the doorway of my bedroom. As I moved closer, I saw that it was my old
friend Albert in his homeless man disguise but he was in astral form. He said to me that he came to me to take me
on a series of astral trips, because I believe that a picture is worth a thousand words and
I want you to meet people and see things in the universe, on the spirit-side that you
can write about for your second book. Then, he literally just reached out and pulled
my astral body out of my physical body and I turned around and looked and my physical
body was still in bed, sound asleep. He just said to follow him and we rose up
through the ceiling, into the clouds and hovered above our beautiful planet for a moment and
I could turn around and look at it, admiring the profound beauty of our planet. Then, from there, he took me through a shimmering
doorway and we entered the spirit-side. That was the beginning of my astral adventures
with Albert which is detailed in my book Dancing Forever with Spirit. After that, he came back after finishing my
second manuscript, took me on a further travel astrally and I detailed those in my third
book which is Dance of Heavenly Bliss which will be released early in 2016. As we speak, I’ve been having further excursions
with Albert and I’m halfway through my fourth manuscript. Yeah, I still have contact with him. Sandra: Just incredible. I mean, oh gosh I’ve heard from people who
have had near-death experiences and it’s near impossible to really, clearly communicate
the experience. But, is there any experiences that you can
share by looking into one of these astral trips that kind of surprised you, or the beauty
of it? Garnet: On my first trip to the spirit-side,
as I mentioned, he took me through this shimmering doorway. As we approached the doorway, it was black
that went behind it like velvet. As I went through, I found myself standing
through this beautiful meadow. There was lush, green grass and tall, majestic
trees. There were wildflowers that were splendid
in a thousand different colors. Many of these colors you had never seen on
Earth and you couldn’t describe them. It was an incredibly beautiful place. We strolled through the meadow and went through
a little hill. At the top of the hill, I noticed a group
of souls waiting for me on the other side. We strolled down towards them and as I got
closer, my heart skipped a beat since I knew who they were. It was my mother, father, grandparents, various
aunts and uncles who have passed and then running from behind the group, coming towards
me as fast as his little legs could go was my dog Oscar who had passed away ten years
before. This little guy was running as he could with
his little tail that was wagging his whole body as he came to greet me. It was a wonderful greeting from this group
of my loved ones who had passed on. There were warm hugs all around, pure unconditional
love and they welcomed me to the spirit-side. I didn’t get to linger there long because
Albert said come on, I have to take you towards here for a meeting with the council of wise-ones. There was a beautiful white city in the distance
with tall white buildings, domes and spires gleaming in the lights. We walked in the boulevard and we entered
to the hall of wisdom and met with the council of wise-ones, who were a group of very advanced
and wise souls. They were sitting around a semi-circle table. They all had snow-white hair and smooth unblemished
skin and they wore gold robes and white sashes. Albert said that the council was responsible
for overseeing the incarnations on Earth. It was their job to plan incarnations and
figure out where they should go next. The chair of the committee, her name was Sophia. She said thank you for coming here, we asked
Albert to bring you here because we have a message for you to take back to your fellow
humans. That message is in my second book, so it was
an amazing experience. Sandra: Can you tell us the message? Garnet: From Sophia, she said that you know,
humans are at a crucial point in development. They have developed very advanced technologies,
but their spiritual and emotional intelligence hasn’t kept pace. So, too many times their negative emotions
have ran out of control fear, anger, hate and greed. That results in a lot of strife and conflicts
such as murders, terrorist acts, wars and so on. We have to be careful that we don’t let that
get out of control because we have weapons of mass destruction that’ll destroy all life
on our planet. They don’t want to see that happen. What we need to do is that I had to tell my
fellow humans that we need to discard and reject our negative emotions and fully embrace
love and compassion. By doing that, we will raise our vibrations
and eventually expand our consciousness and the goals for us will be to ascend from our
planet in a higher-dimension which some refer to us as the new Earth. They’re concerned that we can take the next
step before we crash and burn and she mentioned, like a number of civilizations in the past
on Earth such as Atlantis, that they rose up to great heights and then destroyed themselves. They don’t want that to happen to our current
civilizations, so she said that I’m one of the messengers. They have many messengers and channels. You’re one of them, Sandra, who are trying
to spread the message from spirit, through books and radio shows and speaking engagements
to try and encourage other people to help them recognize the need to get rid of our
negative emotions and embrace love, compassion and forgiveness. That’s where we need to go. We made a lot of progress in the last 30 to
40 years but we have a long way to go. That’s the message she gave to me and I try
to incorporate that in my second book. Sandra: I like that advice. You know, it’s funny, because I don’t even
care if you don’t believe in life-after-death and you think this radio show and all talks
of life-after-death and near-death experience and your experiences if you don’t believe
it, that’s fine. If you learn one thing or you take on this
one thing, it is to practice love, practice forgiveness. Practice compassion. Each one of us is a creature from our past. We’ve all had our ups and downs and you know,
what childhood is like. We learn so much of who we are, right now,
because of things that happen to us when we were little kids. I believe with all my heart that people are
going around what they believe is best and so many times, there’s friction and you feel
like a victim. You want to fight. There’s that conflict that you talk of, but
if you can step out of your own emotions for a second and look at the situation and just
say, what if? This is a loving soul and they’re doing the
best they can. Forgive them, and forgive yourself. We get activated by things and if we have
compassion I read a fortune cookie and the message said the best place to be in an argument
is on the other person’s side. You know; getting into that being compassionate
and where they are, I don’t know if Sandra Champlain can solve the Earth’s problems as
far as all the war and pain and things, but if it just starts within each one of us and
we have peace, then oh my gosh. That can really spread. Garnet: Absolutely. What you said is very true. It seems, from an individual point-of-view,
well, how can I stop the wars and conflicts? Sandra: Right. Garnet: As I saw a Facebook posting from someone
saying that how do you save the world? They say one act of kindness at a time. We should do our own by helping someone close
by us and spreading the word of love and that message and hopefully, other people will pick
up on it. Acts of kindness have an amazing ripple effect,
Sandra, as you know. You do an act of kindness to somebody and
they feel good about it and then go ahead and bestow an act of kindness upon someone
else and it ripples out. It can have a greater effect than you think
because you did a simple thing. We have to focus on that and do it, and if
enough people get engaged in it and they realize what we need to do to take the next step up
the evolutionary and spiritual ladder, you know, then eventually we’ll get there. Albert said that he had a lot of confidence
we can do it. We have a long ways to go yet, but we’ve came
a long ways and sort of are on the right track. Spirit is really trying to help us by channeling
so many messages through many different channels and the more that the word gets out then the
more people will hear it. You’re doing your part, Sandra. I’m trying to do mine. If we keep working away at it, then eventually
we’ll get there. Sandra: Wow. Garnet, we have about ten minutes left or
so. What haven’t I asked you? What would you like to share? What are you passionate about? What are you burning to share with us? Garnet: I think I’d like to share from my
astral travels, Sandra, is that, you know aside from stopping the abuse of other humans
and one-another, then we really need to stop the abuse of the animals who share our planet
and our planet itself, mother Earth. We abuse animals, we pollute our planet and
that also has to stop because that’s a part of the spin-off from our negative emotions. What brought that home to me is that in my
first astral trip, Albert took me to a planet many light years away called Proteus. It was a water planet primarily covered in
oceans. We dropped beneath the oceans and the undersea
world looked much like ours on Earth. I ended up meeting with a dolphin and a humpback
whale there. They said that if the sub-surface view of
our planet looks familiar to you, then it is because most of the sea-life you have on
Earth was originally seeded from Proteus. It originally came from there. They stay in telepathic contact with dolphins
and whales on Earth. This was over many light years, but the power
of thought is very powerful and it’s not restricted to just light-speed. It’s virtually instantaneous; they stay in
telepathic contact with their cousins on Earth and they don’t like what they hear. They hear the dolphins and other sea-life
being distressed from suffering at the abuse of humans over centuries, through hunting,
killing and trapping as well as being imprisoned in water parks. Now, to some degree that has stopped, but
too much of it is still going on. Look, the dolphins are very intelligent and
sensitive creatures who want to live in peace and harmony with humans and they want to communicate
with us, but they’re just aren’t hearing it. It really made me think about how animals
do have feelings and emotions. I also got that when Albert took me to the
records and showed me a few glimpses of my current life in the past and one of those
episodes where I came home from work one day and my little dog Oscar, who I met when I
first went to the spirit side; he came running towards me and his tail was wagging, hoping
to greet me and get a pat on his head. I was lost in thought, walked right past him
totally ignoring him, and the poor guy slinked off back to his bed depressed and anxious,
wondering why I didn’t love him anymore. That really, and I got to actually feel his
feelings in the life review. It makes you aware of the fact that all animals
have feelings and emotions and they just want to live in harmony with us and they aren’t
there to be abused at our pleasure. They have their own place in the universe
and they have their own place in the planet and we should respect that. That was really an eye-opener for me. Sandra: Yes, animals are just so much love. You know, you telling that story made me think
of if we could live each day thinking that some day we’ll reply this event from the other
person’s point-of-view. What is it that we need to do now in order
to make it count? You know, I’m thinking of this I live with
my aunt and we have a cat. He loves her and he doesn’t give me the time
of day, right? I was thinking about that with Oscar and I’m
thinking alright, I needed to be nicer to Harry. Gosh, one of the things I’m really getting
from all of these interviews is that who we’re being today. It’s the acts of kindness, the unconditional
love, sharing love and being loving. It’s all things of us giving, so what a great
habit to be in no matter who it is. It may be someone in your family or a friend,
or even a complete stranger. It’s the act, I think, of giving that actually
makes that difference. Garnet: And, as Albert says one of the important
things we should try to remember is to think before we speak and try to think about, as
you mentioned, how the other person will take this. Will they be offended? Will they be hurt? If you sort of go around with that in mind,
then you’ll cause less harm and less anguish to other people because you’ll try to put
yourself in their place and wonder how that person would react if you were them, and you
heard those words or felt the actions. That’s very important and it’s not easy to
do because you get caught up in the day-to-day life and activities and everything moving
so fast. But, if you can do that as much as we can,
then we’ll save a lot of hurt and anguish in the world with the people that we interact
with. That includes our pets and the other animals
that we encounter everyday. Sandra: Great words. Garnet, what gives you the most joy in sharing
this message? Garnet: The most joy is that I am happy to
be one of the messengers for the spirit and to spread their message of love, hope and
forgiveness. I’m hoping that I can make a difference in
other people’s lives. The people out there who are struggling with
the question of who they are and what happens when they die, then I hope that Albert’s revelation
can give them comfort and inspiration that no matter what you do and how many mistakes
you make, you’ll end up on the spirit-side and in the mean time, try and get the most
out of your journey and enjoy it. As Albert has said to me many times, you know,
you need to lighten up.>>LAUGHTER It’s not that serious. You may think life on Earth is so serious,
but you know, whatever you do then you’ll always learn from each experience whether
you’re on course or off course. There’s something to be learned from everything
you do and you should look at it as an adventure, a challenge knowing full well that when you
get back to the spirit-side then you can come back and try life again or whatever you want. There’s no punishment. Enjoy your life. Try and make the most out of it. I think that’s very good advice. Sandra: It’s super advice. Can we ever really fail if we come back here
again and life is a challenge and we’re here to learn? Is there such thing, really, as failure? Garnet: Absolutely not. He says that, you know, you can come back
and incarnate 20 times or 2,000 times up to you. When you graduate from this Earth-plane, it’s
you who decides that you had enough of it and you can learn everything you can learn. It’s entirely up to you and no, you can’t
fail. You can’t go wrong or become lost. You’ll always end up on the spirit-side where
you can regroup, plan your next, or just to decide heck with planet Earth and go somewhere
else. There’s no failure. You can only go onwards and upwards. You can never go backwards. Sandra: Onwards and upwards. I’m writing this down. You know what’s really great about this? If we really take on, like really, truly and
honestly that we don’t die, that we’re going to go home and we’ll see everyone again and
going to choose to come back or not. We’re here to learn and play full-out. Like you say, love, forgive and have hope
to really believe that, and it takes I’m sure daily reminders or even hour-by-hour reminders,
but if it does give us a chance to lighten up what seems to be available, Garnet, is
a whole heck of a lot more joy as opposed to making ourselves wrong or always thinking
about what we haven’t done, living in grief and sadness as well as depression and despair. Those words are so powerful and that can really
transform the way we live our lives now. Garnet: Absolutely. You said it very well; we have to sort of
realize who we are and where we’re going and if we can do that, then we’ll have more joy
in our lives and have a happier journey on life as well as more fulfilling and we will
be able to spread that joy and that happiness to others around us and help them with their
journeys. That is what life here is all about. Sandra: Wow. You’re an incredible man. In closing, how do we get in touch with you? How do we find out more about your books? How do we find more about the fantastic Garnet
Schulhauser? Garnet: The best source is my website, which
is garnetschulhauser.com. That’s hard to remember, so if people can
Google Dancing on a Stamp then they can find it. There’s information on my books and you can
download a free exerpt for the book. There’s buy links on my website where you
can just click in to get into Amazon and Barnes & Nobles to buy the books. There’s links to my social media websites
Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus+, Youtube. Sandra: I saw those, you’re a busy man. Garnet: Yes. My e-mail address is on the website, HYPERLINK
“mailto:[email protected][email protected] and I’d be happy to hear comments and questions
from your listeners. Sandra: That’s great. You don’t know this, and some of my listeners
do unless it’s your first episode, but this radio show plays all over the place. As a home-base, I have wedontdieradio.com
and this episode is episode 75 with Garnet Schulhauser, so the links to your website
and Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc. and to your books are going to be on your page, at
wedontdieradio.com. It’s also fun to see who the incredible man
and what he looks like, you know? So often, we just hear the voices and you
wonder who is that person? Well, Garnet, any final words for us before
I wrap up the show? Garnet: Nope, Sandra. I think you’re doing a fantastic job in helping
to spread messages from spirit and I encourage you to continue and you’re a wonderful host. Loved being here. Sandra: Thanks. I loved hearing the story, it’s so new to
me that we can have an experience like that and it’s not on the brink of our death, such
as having a near-death experience. You know? Oh, one quick question when you experienced
that trip, the astral trip, did it occur to you as like extremely real and like you can
remember it like it just happened? Or, is it a distant memory now? Garnet: No, it was very crystal clear. After I woke up with a trip accompanied by
Albert, it was crystal clear and vivid. Moreso than any dream I’ve had or any other
waking memory in my past lives. It stayed with me for a long time. Some of the details are fuzzy now after several
months, but it was clear and I’d wake up, go to my computer and type out my rough notes
of what I saw and who I talked to and that formed the basis for my manuscripts. Yes, it was absolutely very clear. Sandra: Very good. Garnet, thanks so much for being our guest
today. Really thank you. Garnet: Thank you Sandra for inviting me. I’m delighted to be here. Sandra: We’ll meet up sometime, somewhere
in the future. To our listeners, I want to thank you for
taking the time to engage in this conversation and listen; I know, for me, I’ve heard a lot
of new things. And, something I’m left with is what Garnet
said at the very beginning looks can be deceiving. You don’t know who the Albert is in your life. It may not be somebody who might just disappear,
it could be your brother or your sister or someone that you’re having a conflict with. They may be the one who will teach you your
biggest gift in life. You may be in the midst of conflict or struggle,
even joy. Who knows. But, look for the gift within every person. Because, looks can be deceiving. So, in closing, this is Sandra Champlain and
I’ve been your host on We Don’t Die Radio.com. I believe that life is an education for the
soul and your life here on Earth is important. So, thank you for listening. Make today count, will you? Do a random act of kindness, maybe. Anyways, thanks for listening and we’ll see
you soon. Sandra: Welcome to another episode of We Don’t
Die, where my goal is to give you evidence that although our bodies will disappear, we
survive physical death. I’m your host, Sandra Champlain, author of the international best-selling
book called We Don’t Die: A Skeptic’s Discovery of Life After Death. Before I introduce you
to our guest today, I’m wondering if you want to play a little game with me. Have you ever
noticed that there’s this little voice in our head? Some people call it the inner-critic,
some call it the committee, some call it the negative Nancy. I’m sorry if your name is
Nancy. But, when we look in the mirror, we often are not filled with empowering thoughts.
It’s often that we are too old, or too big whatever it is, it is my request for all of
us to be conscious on this show today and even the rest of your day. Pay attention to
what that voice says. It’s very often not our friend; it is often criticizing and talking
negative-talk. It’s not seeing everything through the lens of possibility and what may
be possible. As we, on this show, talk about some pretty wild, incredible journeys and
shows, just pay attention to that little voice. If it is chiming in with it’s two cents, let’s
try to make a practice of setting it aside for this hour and really listening. When you
can pay attention and be in the present moment, you hear some things that you wouldn’t normally
hear if you were just paying attention to that voice. So, I hope that I made myself
clear there and I’m asking you to do it, pretty much, because I’m asking me to do it. I don’t
ask you to do anything I’m not taking on myself. So, let’s get onto our show. This is episode
75, I am thrilled to say. Coming to us from British-Columbia, we have Garnet Schulhauser.
Garnet is a retired lawyer who practiced corporate law for over 30 years. In 2007, he had an
experience that changed his life forever. I’m going to let Garnet tell his story in
a minute, so I won’t tell you anymore. After he retired from his law firm, he began his
new career as an author, sharing that incredible experience in both of his books. His books
are Dancing on a Stamp: Startling Revelations from the Other Side and Dancing with Spirit:
Astonishing Insights from Heaven. Garnet is now speaking and talking on stages and has
shared his story with many other radio shows, and he comes very highly-recommended from
one of my favorite listeners, so; Garnet Schulhauser, welcome to We Don’t Die Radio. Garnet: Thank you, Sandra. Thanks for inviting
me, I’m delighted to be here. Sandra: Me too, I just have a big smile on
my face So, I haven’t been to your area of the world. You’re on Vancouver island in British-Columbia,
right? Garnet: Yes, Vancouver island which is near
Victoria, at the very southern tip of the island. Sandra: Ah, an area I’d love to get to that
I haven’t been to yet. So, thank you, and I’m on the other side of the coast. I’m in
Massachusetts in the USA talking to you today. You’re married with a little dog, I hear? Garnet: Yes, my wife is Kathy and I have a
miniature Schnauzer named Abbey. Sandra: Ah, dogs are just incredible. In fact,
all pets are. So, if you wouldn’t mind, just talk a bit about you and what exactly happened?
You’ve told your story more times than I’ve read it, so can you give us a little back
story of you being a lawyer and then what happened to turn you into this author who
is really interested in making a difference? Garnet: Yeah, it happened while I was still
practicing law back in 2007. I was very much of a straight-laced, button-down corporate
lawyer. I never talked about spirituality, religion, or anything like that. I was raised
as a Roman Catholic in a very religious family, and I severed as an altar boy for many years.
By the time I hit my 20’s and 30’s, I began to question most of those beliefs and rejected
them because they didn’t make sense to me. I was casting about for a new para-dime to
latch onto. I was constantly asking myself the eternal questions of life, such as who
am I? Why am I here? What’s my life’s purpose? And, of course, the big one what happens when
we die? Sandra: Boy, I know those questions really
well.>>LAUGHTER Garnet: Everyone asks those at one point or
another, Sandra. Sandra: Sure. Garnet: I was looking for answers. In 2007,
I was going for a stroll one sunny afternoon in May, just down the street from my office,
and out of nowhere a homeless man jumps out in front of me. He just seemed to pop out
of nowhere, standing right in front of me. He looked like a typical homeless man he had
long, stringy and greasy hair with a straggly beard and dirty, slept on clothes. He smelled
like he hadn’t had a shower in over two weeks. Sandra: Wow. Garnet: He really fit the part. Usually, when
I had met these people before on the street, I would just side-step them and go around
them. Most often, they were panhandling for money. This guy was different. He was different
because he had these amazing, sparkling, and dazzling blue eyes. What they were doing is
that, first of all, his gaze was penetrating deep within me. It felt like he was penetrating
into the depths of my soul. I sensed that he knew everything about me, like my history.
He knew everything I’d said and done, my fears and anxiety’s, my hopes and aspirations, and
my deepest and darkest secrets. I was puzzled since I didn’t know this man before, but I
sensed that he knew everything about me. At the same time, his eye’s were sending waves
of pure, unconditional love that was infusing my body with a sense of peace and security
as well as well-being and it was quite an amazing feeling. I stood there, sort of lapping
all of this up because it was such a wonderful experience and it was like I was in a time-trap
because I didn’t know how long I stood there. I didn’t care how long I stood there. I could’ve
stayed there forever, just taking in the love coming from this man. And then, he broke the
spell by saying to me, why are you here? And then, he quickly disappeared into a nearby
store. When I finally collected my wits, I went into the store to try and find him but
he was nowhere to be seen. There was only one entrance and exit and he hadn’t came out,
but he wasn’t in t he store. I walked back out into the street, walking up and down to
hope I would spot him, thinking he slipped past me. After ten or 15 minutes, I realized
that he disappeared into thin air. Nowhere to be seen. That night, as I was driving back
to my home after work, I thought, you know, I really have to go and find this guy and
find out who he was and why he stopped me, what it was all about. The next day, at the
same time and the same street, I went back there to try and find him. I walked up and
down for maybe ten or 15 minutes. I was about to lose hope, when I spotted him sitting on
a bench by himself. I walked up to him and asked him who he was and why he stopped me
the other day. Sandra: Right. Garnet: He said that he was a soul just like
me and he was here to answer my questions and help me on my journey. At that time, my
skeptical lawyer brain kicked in and I said to him, why do you think you can help me when
you can’t even help yourself? Sandra: That’s a fair question. Garnet: Because, it looks like you’ve been
sleeping on the street for weeks and you smell like a dead fish. Well, he just gave me a
big smile and said, you know, looks can be deceiving because you look like you’re a very
successful corporate lawyer with everything under control, but we both know that’s just
a fassade. Sandra: Wow. Garnet: He said that I could turn around and
go back to my office, trying to find the answers you’ve been seeking for years on all the e-mails
waiting for you on the computer, or you could sit down and have a chat with me. Luckily,
my common sense told me that I had nothing to lose by talking to this guy. It was only
a half-hour of my day; big deal. I had to sit down and explore the matter with him further.
I found out, early on, that he said that his name was Albert and he was actually one of
my spirit guides in disguise. He told me that I was the only one who could see him in physical
form, so that if anybody else had been passing along the street that day, they would’ve seen
me sitting on the bench myself, talking to myself. The first three times that he appeared
in my life, he showed up as the homeless person.
This way, I related to him as a physical
person. He was there. He felt just like a regular person. And so, when he began talking
to me by telepathy, I recognized his voice. I was comfortable with him and I was happy
to carry on our conversations. It was a very clever way for him to introduce himself to
me. Sandra: Wow. Garnet, can I just go back to
the first few times you met him? When he nailed right on that you’re an attorney and go back
to your office, the e-mails and questions you have certainly, it was worth your time
to sit with him, but that must’ve been a really profound moment. How does this guy know this
about me? The only thing I can think of is that I grew up Roman Catholic myself, and
I would just imagine; if people would have those encounters with meeting Jesus for the
first time, way back when. Garnet: Well, it was quite an astonishing
moment because I knew there was something special about him because of his eyes. But,
when I started talking to him, he spoke with such wisdom and clarity that it just came
through as like, okay, this guy is very special and he probably; initially, I was questioning
if he really was a spirit guide, but after a few conversations I clearly believe that
he was. What he spoke was the truth. So, it was quite amazing because at that point, I
wasn’t even aware that I had spirit guides and he came into my life and said, yeah, I’m
one of your spirit guides. You have several others. I came here to answer your questions
and furthermore, what he told me early on was that he wasn’t here just to satisfy my
curiosity but also he wanted me to write a book on his revelations, so everyone else
would have access to what he told me. Sandra: Yeah. Garnet: That took me back a bit, because I
had never dreamed to write a book. I was reluctant initially, digging in my heels a bit. But,
the spirit can be persistent as you know, Sandra. Finally, I said alright Albert, I’ll
write the book. That resulted in my first book, Dancing on a Stamp. Sandra: Wow. Garnet, when he first came into
your mind, how did you know it wasn’t just your imagination? Garnet: When he first came by telepathy? Sandra: By telepathy, yeah. Garnet: I clearly recognized his voice from
when I first met him in the physical form. I recognized his voice so there was no doubt
about it. This was the same person. Clearly, it wasn’t my imagination because it was a
conversation. I would ask questions and he would give me answers that I would’ve never
dreamt of, up in my own mind. It was clearly a conversation with another entity, no doubt
about that. Sandra: I mentioned at the beginning of the
show about the inner-critic we all have. If you pay attention to it, it’s usually your
own voice. When you distinctly hear someone else voice and it comes in a conversation
manner, yeah it does sound like the real. Then, what happened? He asked you to write
a book and how did that unfold from there? Garnet: Well, I didn’t tell anyone about my
encounter initially, not even my wife. I was concerned about what she and other people
would say. Sandra: Crazy, yeah. Garnet: What do you mean you’re talking to
spirit guides? You’re losing your mind. You’re becoming senile early. Slowly, I dribbled
out to my wife that I was writing a book. Eventually, I said that it was about meeting
a homeless man and finally I let on that the homeless man was a spirit guide. She took
it well, because she is quite spiritual herself. Sandra: Okay, good. Garnet: She had a couple of spiritual encounters
with her deceased mother and father, not too long after they passed away. She was very
much into this. She’s very supportive. My two sons were supportive, as well. I knew
I was reluctant to have my book published once I had written the manuscript because
I was afraid of what my friends and former law colleagues and clients may think, because
this was very much out of character for me in terms of what they knew of me before I
met Albert. And so, I debated it for a long time and finally, as my fellow co-author Sherry
Cortland put it, I decided to come out of the spiritual closet. And so, I just; fine.
I’m going to publish the book, let the chips fall where they may. I knew I was going to
lose some people and I did. Some of my former colleagues and friends have basically shunned
me and not spoken to me since I released the book. They may think I’m losing my mind. They’d
never say that to my face, but I suspect that’s what they think. A lot of the former group
were very supportive. Lots of them said good for you to have the courage to write the book
and publish it. It was a mixed reaction, overall. I won many more new friends than I lost, so
it was a positive reaction, overall. Sandra: Fear can be so crippling, both from
your point of view, you know I have a book named We Don’t Die and nobody knew I was interested
in that sort of thing. It’s scary putting it out there and you find, like me, that there’s
more people interested than are afraid and will cast you aside and you do get a lot more
friends and I think that your quality of life improves when you begin sharing what you really
love, right? Garnet: Absolutely. Yeah. It was a major transformation
for me. Before, I was an analytical, skeptical lawyer and I took a different fork in the
road. I view things very much differently. I view people differently. I’m not as judgmental,
and because I understand why I’m here and where I’m going, I’m not as stressed out about
it and I’m certainly not afraid of death. I know where I’m going and I know that I have
a mission to continue and fulfill here on Earth. I’m doing my best to do it and to fulfill
that mission and I certainly enjoy life more than when I was practicing law, no question. Sandra: Wow. This brings me to the title of
the show, which is We Don’t Die. From your conversations with Albert and what you learned,
if you wouldn’t mind talk to us about what you learned about life-after-death and we
can get into life’s purpose and other brilliant things that fill the books. Why do you believe,
from these conversations, that we don’t die? Garnet: Well, because he very convincingly
told me. It’s not news to you but he said, look it, you and everyone else, you’re all
eternal souls. Sandra: Right. Garnet: You’re created by the source, which
some refer to as god. We’re part of the source, connected to it and to also each other. There
is no death to us. Our physical bodies will die, of course, but then our souls just move
on and we go back to the spirit-side where we came from. The spirit-side, some refer
to as Heaven, is a beautiful place. That’s our true home and where we are beings of energy,
Sandra, and that’s our true nature and identity. You know for sure, everyone lives past our
physical death. There’s no exceptions. Everyone goes back to the spirit-side. Contrary to
what the Catholic Church taught me and I’m sure they taught you this as well is that
the source doesn’t judge us after we pass away. It doesn’t punish us if we haven’t followed
all the rules. There is no Hell or Satan; everyone goes back to the same place We’re
here to learn and experience things we need in our evolution as souls. No matter how many
times we may go off course or how many mistakes we make, then we always end up on the spirit-side.
He said that’s the way it works; we’re in a cycle of reincarnation on Earth and that’s
how it works. You begin on the spirit-side, you incarnate, your body dies and you return
to the spirit-side. Sandra: What do we do on the spirit-side?
Any words on what it’s like and what we do there? Garnet: It’s a great place. It’s very much
like the Heaven some religions describe. We don’t have physical bodies. We don’t need
to eat, drink, breathe, or procreate. Through thought creation, we can basically anything
that we want instantaneously through the power of thought. It’s a very happy place, there
is nothing but unconditional love.
When you finish this life,
you go back to the spirit-side and the first thing you’ll do is have a life review. This
is in which you go over your most recent life in minute detail, however you want to do it,
and you can watch everything you’ve done like you’ve watched a 3D movie. Or, you can jump
back into your body and sort of relive parts of your life. The other thing, of course,
is that the beauty of the life review is that you get to feel the emotions and hear the
thoughts of the people that you’ve interacted with during your life. That’s a great learning
tool, because so often we can go through our life stepping on other’s toes without really
realizing it and in the life review, you can feel the hurt and the anguish of the person
that you’ve offended, even if you didn’t intend to harm them. And so, it’s a great learning
tool. When you finish the life review, you can decide if you want to hang around the
spirit-side for awhile, or you can plan your next life on Earth. You can also plan your
life on the dense planes on another planet in the universe. It’s entirely up to us. No
one decides for us to come here, it’s of our own volition and it’s solely designed to give
us the experiences that we need to help us grow. Sandra: Wow. How about the other people in
our lives now? I’ve lost my dad and my grandmother as well as my grandfather; is there reassurance
that we’ll see them again? Also, as you’re talking about reincarnation I’ve heard people
say before that we can reincarnate in these soul groups and when we come back, people
take on different parts of; we’re different players in the game when we do it again. Did
you get any information of that from Albert? Garnet: Absolutely. Albert said that we do
travel in soul groups. The reason for that is that it alternates roles in various incarnations,
so sometimes you’re the father and somebody else is the daughter and the next time, you’re
the niece and someone else is the uncle. We change roles. We sort of travel through various
incarnations on Earth and it’s just designed to make it easier for us to plan our lives,
because when you’re planning your life, preparing your life plan, you have to have the cooperation
of the other souls who will be a major part of your life like your parents, siblings,
your spouse they have to agree to be a part of your life and you have to agree to be in
theirs. It works easier, Albert says, if you’re traveling as a group because you’re used to
each others goals and desires and you are happy to help them on their evolution and
vice-versa. Yeah, you do travel in soul groups. In response to seeing deceased parents, absolutely
that you will. Albert says that when you pass over, you’re welcomed by a welcoming group.
That welcoming group is your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, all these people you’re close
to that have passed on. They’ll be around to give you a hug to reassure you that they’re
fine and they welcome you back and help you on your transition. You’ll definitely see
them. In fact, your parents are likely a part of your soul groups. You’ve probably had other
lives on Earth before with them. Sandra: That’s great news. From where they
are, can they still be in communication with us? Or, are they busy? Is there like classrooms
on the other side? I’ve talked to many guests and I really want to believe that my dad is
only a thought away and that he can hear my thoughts and things like that, but do we still
have a relationship even though they are invisible? Garnet: Oh, yes. According to Albert, they
can communicate with us. They don’t necessarily do it all that often, but when they feel the
need to, then they’ll communicate or leave a sign, do something in the physical environment
to let us know they’re here and watching over us. They do watch over us. Albert says that
people on the other side can really multitask so there are classrooms with lectures. Sandra: You’re funny. Garnet: They attend sporting events and can
do all sorts of things. They do it all at once since linear time doesn’t exist on the
spirit-side. There’s only present moment; there’s no past or future. It’s one present
moment and they can do many things. They can be attending a classroom while at the same
time watching what you’re doing. It’s comforting and it’s nice to know that they are there.
It’s a bit frustrating if you want to have a direct communication, say, with your father
and it doesn’t seem to be getting through. It is getting through to him, but you’re not
necessarily hearing the reply back. Sometimes, you may and other times you may not. Sandra: Right, right. You bring up the prepare
your life plan at the beginning, you said yes, you had some profound questions such
as life’s purpose. Do we each have a life purpose? Do we, you say creating your life’s
plan; do we, before we come here, say that this is what I’m setting out to learn? Garnet: Yes, you have a definite goal before
you incarnate and you incorporate things into your life plan to help you reach that goal
and meet the challenges you want to meet and overcome. You have a definite plan. In your
life plan, you will pick out the major things of your proposed life. These are things like
where to be born, the identity of your parents, and the identity of your siblings and other
people. But, because once you’re born, you then don’t remember what is in the life plan
and because you have freewill to act then you stray off course. Your life isn’t pre-determined.
You set out a blue print of what you hope to accomplish, knowing full-well that once
you’re born you may not meet it or follow it closely. That’s a part of being human and
on Earth. You have a definite plan in mind, but the chances of you hitting all the points
100% are fairly remote because you’re often going to miss things and when you hit a fork-in-the-road
in terms of what fork to take, you get guidance from your spirit-guides. They send you messages
telling you which way to go, but humans don’t always hear those messages because they’re
very subtle. You mentioned at the beginning of the show of a whisper in your mind, that
voice talking to you oftentimes, that is one of your guides trying to guide you and tell
you which direction you should go. Sometimes, you hear it and sometimes you don’t. You know,
other examples are flashes and intuitions, gut feelings, coincidental events; those are
all designed by your guides to give you a message about how to get you back on your
life plan path if you’ve strayed off. Some people hear them and some people don’t. Other
people will hear them and rationalize a different response because your mind has it’s own sort
of desires and goals and your mind doesn’t know what was in your life plan, so you often
have a bit of a conflict between what your mind wants to do and your soul and guides
want you to do. But, you have a very definite purpose when you design your life plan. It
doesn’t always pan out 100%. Sandra: Is there a way that we can tap into
what our life’s purpose is here and now? I know at different times of my life, I’ve just
been so confused and not even knew if I was on the right path. I mean, is there a way
that we can figure it out? Garnet: There’s no easy way, according to
Albert. One way is to listen to the messages you receive from your guides. That isn’t easy.
As you probably know, quieting your mind through meditation lets you hear more of these messages,
but you have to listen very carefully. It’s not easy. It wasn’t intended to be easy, Sandra.
As Albert said to me, you know, and I’ve asked him this when we have our conversations it’s
like you and I conversing. It’s very direct and there’s nothing hazy about it. It’s a
direct communication. I’ve asked him for personal advice in my life and he has said I’m not
going to give that to you because it’d be too easy for you. If I did that and told you
each step of the way of what you should be doing, it’d defeat the whole purpose of you
being here for the challenges that you set out for the rest of your life. That’s why
with most people’s guides, they don’t have the direct communication that I have with
Albert because that’d just be too easy. So, life is a challenge on Earth. It’s a tough
school one of the toughest in the universe. We’re here to figure out what we should be
doing, where we should be heading without sort of a direct step-by-step guidance from
our guides. It’s frustrating, but that’s just a part of life on Earth. Sandra: I’ve found, too, that and you may
agree if any one of us listening right now, just ask yourself quietly in your own head,
what’s the thing you’re most proud of in your life? Something that you did. When you look,
it’s usually something that required a lot of work. In my case, who I had to rise to
be to be by my father’s side as he was dying, granted; I’ve never would’ve seen myself as
a patient advocate and doing everything I needed to do in the hospital. But, how I was
with my dad and being strong in the moment that he was dying was difficult, but in turn,
it’s the thing I’m most proud of. I can see where the answers just don’t come easily.
We have to experience them, you know? Sometimes they come through in our hardest times where
we get the most growth and can see those things, right? Garnet: Absolutely. As many people have said
you learn more from the difficult than from your successes. That’s very true. There, you
have to be strong and you have to resolve to overcome the challenge and move on with
your life. It’s very easy to have a bunch of wins in a row, but you actually learn more
from your defeats and the difficult times. Sandra: Mmhm. I can get that. Let’s talk a
bit about spirit-guides, because your a friend of Roberta Grimes. I had her on two episodes
ago and she’s just fantastic. She was mentioning that, too. Who are these guides? Do we all
have them? Are we led to believe that even though I’m thinking that I’m sitting here
alone that I have support from an invisible source? Garnet: Yes. We all have spirit-guides, anywhere
from two to three and sometimes they go up much higher. Your guides are like your coaches
and they are souls on the spirit-side whose primary function is to watch what you’re doing
during your life and to send you messages and try to provide you guidance. They’re there
24/7. They never leave you. Usually, quite often, they’re a part of your soul groups.
With Albert, he and I had previous lives on Earth before. Now, this time, he volunteered
to be one of my guides for this current life and I have two others. I’ve met one of them
and her name is Elena. I haven’t met the other one. But, I know they’re there and they’re
always trying to help me out and guide me. They’re like coaches. What happens in addition
is that every night when we sleep, Sandra, our souls actually leave our physical bodies,
temporarily, travel to other parts of the planet or back to the spirit-side and there
we have a huddle or consultation with our guides to discuss how we’re doing so far,
what we should try to do next and where we go from there. In the morning, you go back
into your body. Of course, you don’t remember those consultations but you’re constantly
sort of conferring with your guides and sometimes you’re actually fine-tuning and making amendments
to your life plan based upon what you’ve already experienced. It’s an intimate, ongoing relationship. Sandra: Hm. I can only remember some dreams
I’ve never remembered an interaction like that. Is it normal we don’t remember those
interactions? Garnet: Yes, it’s normal that you’re not allowed
to remember having these meetings with your guides or that you even leave your body. It’s
very normal and it’s intended, very normal. Most people don’t. It’s just a part of the
incarnation process. They don’t want you to remember that you have a life plan or that
you came from the spirit-side or have guides because it would affect your life on Earth.
They want you to sort of have a challenge of living on Earth without really knowing
where you came from or where you are going. That’s just part of the challenge of a human
on Earth. Sandra: Yeah, I can get that. Most definitely.
Let’s talk about your books, Dancing on a Stamp. That’s a very clever title. What is
that meaning and where did you get that from? Garnet: Well, during one of my conversations
with Albert. I had been complaining to him about something not going right in my
life. He said to me that you know, here’s your problem. Imagine that the world is like
a big, beautiful ballroom. It’s got gleaming hardwood floors and sunlight is coming into
the stained glass windows. The band is playing amazing dance music. Everyone around you is
up and dancing and swirling around the whole ballroom, enjoying life and the dance. He
said to me that you spent too much of your time on one spot, like you’re wearing leg
shackles and you need to cast off your shackles and quit dancing on a stamp. That phrase stuck
in my mind that he said that I was dancing on a stamp and I needed to get out and explore
the rest of the ballroom. And so, when I was casting about for a title on my first book,
that phrase stuck into my mind and so I finally asked Albert if it was a good title for a
first book. He said absolutely and I should go for it. Sandra: I love explore the rest of the ballroom.
It’s so easy to be a creature of habit, whether it’s the same foods you eat or people you
hang out or vacations you take, just things you do. But, I tell you, life gets juicy when
you get courageous and get to try something new, do something you wouldn’t normally do.
I like that advice. Garnet: Absolutely, it’s good advice for everyone
and I’ve tried to follow it and I think I have since I’ve certainly expanded my horizons.
I’ve broken away from the rut of being a lawyer and now I’m into new things and I quite enjoy
it and I’m certainly more fulfilled because of it. Sandra: Yeah, definitely. There’s a sense
of fulfillment. What do you talk about, I know Dancing on a Stamp: Startling Revelations
on the Other Sides. I know there are questions I should ask, but I’m not sure which ones.
What sort of life revelations other than life’s purpose I want to give you the floor a bit,
so to speak, to share some of the passionate things you’ve learned about what life is about
and things we need to know that can empower us today. Garnet: Well, one of the things that sort
of sticks in my mind is that he said, look it; you create your own reality on Earth.
First of all, you set up your life situation through your pre-birth planning and then you
create the rest of your reality from the free-willed reactions of what happens to you. You’re the
author of your own fortunes or misfortunes. Because of that, you can’t blame anybody for
whatever happens to you in your life. He says that the source doesn’t manipulate or control
events in your life, which is contrary to what a lot of the religions say. They say
that you have good fortune because god decided to bestow that upon you. You have misfortune
because god is unhappy with you. It’s totally wrong. God doesn’t manipulate things or cause
things to happen to you when you’re traveling on your Earth journey. And so, it’s your own
journey and you can create what you want of it and no matter what happens to you, you
can either have a positive attitude or a negative attitude. It’s entirely up to you. You should
never consider yourself to be a victim or some random act of the universe. You’re never
a victim. You create your own reality. That was sort of an eye-opener. The other thing
that really surprised me a bit, Sandra, was that he said that no one on Earth dies by
accident. Sandra: Hm. Garnet: He said, you know, even though a plane
may crash and 300 people perish it seems like an accident but it isn’t. You leave your physical
body and die when your soul is ready to leave and your soul has the absolute final say on
when that’ll happen. And so, somebody dies in a car accident and it may seem like an
accident but it’s not. The person’s soul decided that was a good place to exit and so that
is when it happens. That was sort of a surprise. Sandra: That is a hard concept to get when
you’ve lost a child, or when you’ve lost somebody by an accident. When something really horrible
happens. I think that in the midst of it, we aren’t meant to remember the bigger picture.
It’s something where that little voice can chime in and just set it aside if you’re thinking
about how can this be? One thing that I bring up time-after-time, which is watching my father
die and going through his incredibly painful death and the fights I had with my siblings
and such. Granted, it was the worst time of my life. In the midst of it, there is no way
in heck that I would think that I planned this and dad went on his own accord and that
this should’ve been, but now several years afterwards and looking back, everything had
to take place the way it did for me to be where I am now, for the level of compassion
I’ve learned and the strength that I’ve built. So, um. Garnet: Absolutely, I agree. Your dad’s soul
chose the time to exit. It’s not just for his benefit, but oftentimes when someone is
dying, it is to help other people with their challenges as well. Obviously, it was a big
effect on you and it got you off on the course that you’re now on. So, he did you a favor
and then made an exit when he was ready to go. Sandra: Yeah. Garnet: That happens because souls interact
with one another, and they know the plan and try to fulfill it. The mind doesn’t remember
what happens, but things usually unfold the way they should. Sandra: We just have to trust the process
as painful as it can be. What else did you learn? Garnet: Well, you know, Albert said that not
only can we incarnate on the Earth-plane as humans but also as animals and some of us
have. He basically said that animals have souls just like humans and when I questioned
him on it, he said, you know look at the eye’s of the little dog and you’ll find your answer
and confirmation of animals having souls. That was a bit of a surprise to me and other
people. He basically said, though, that when a soul tries to first incarnate on Earth then
typically they’ll start off with a more simple lifeform such as animals because they aren’t
complex. Humans are complex, you know, so chances are that you’re incarnated as a human
and you may or not have had previous lives on Earth but a lot of people have. Not only
have you had them on Earth, but there are millions of planets with different lifeforms.
Some are more advanced than humans, some less so. We can incarnate on any of those. It’s
our choice entirely.
It’s very much of
a; we have the whole universe open to us and we can go where ever we want to. Sandra: Wow. Roberta Grimes on our episode
said something to me that I never had really heard before. She said that there are souls
that would just love to be in a human body. So, bottom line is feel lucky that you have
one. Don’t curse the one that you’re in. She just painted this picture that we should feel
really fortunate that we are incarnated in a human form and we do have life to grow,
learn and in this body is when we can experience the good stuff. All the emotions, the education
for the soul. Does that go along with what you believe? Garnet: Yeah. Albert didn’t mention that there
was sort of a waiting list to get into a body. That may be so, I’ll have to ask him about
that Sandra. What he did say was that humans should pat yourself on the back for being
here, because it takes a very courageous soul to jump into a human body on Earth. It’s a
very tough school, so the people who are here probably have had a fair bit of experience
elsewhere before they tackled the Earth-plane because it’s a tough school. I don’t know
how many other lives I have had elsewhere, or how many we had we’ll find that out on
the spirit-side, but it’s certainly a very challenging environment and I will ask Albert
whether there’s a line-up of souls waiting to get into a body. That’s an interesting
concept. Sandra: So, you’re still in communication
with Albert. Garnet: Absolutely, yes. I should tell you
that after my first set of dialogs with Albert that resulted in my first book, he then came
back to me in a different format. Through most of the dialog, we spoke by telepathy
in question and answer. After I had finished the manuscript, I hadn’t heard from him in
a couple of months and suddenly I woke up one night in my bed and I saw this ghost-like,
ethereal figure standing in the doorway of my bedroom. As I moved closer, I saw that
it was my old friend Albert in his homeless man disguise but he was in astral form. He
said to me that he came to me to take me on a series of astral trips, because I believe
that a picture is worth a thousand words and I want you to meet people and see things in
the universe, on the spirit-side that you can write about for your second book. Then,
he literally just reached out and pulled my astral body out of my physical body and I
turned around and looked and my physical body was still in bed, sound asleep. He just said
to follow him and we rose up through the ceiling, into the clouds and hovered above our beautiful
planet for a moment and I could turn around and look at it, admiring the profound beauty
of our planet. Then, from there, he took me through a shimmering doorway and we entered
the spirit-side. That was the beginning of my astral adventures with Albert which is
detailed in my book Dancing Forever with Spirit. After that, he came back after finishing my
second manuscript, took me on a further travel astrally and I detailed those in my third
book which is Dance of Heavenly Bliss which will be released early in 2016. As we speak,
I’ve been having further excursions with Albert and I’m halfway through my fourth manuscript.
Yeah, I still have contact with him. Sandra: Just incredible. I mean, oh gosh I’ve
heard from people who have had near-death experiences and it’s near impossible to really,
clearly communicate the experience. But, is there any experiences that you can share by
looking into one of these astral trips that kind of surprised you, or the beauty of it? Garnet: On my first trip to the spirit-side,
as I mentioned, he took me through this shimmering doorway. As we approached the doorway, it
was black that went behind it like velvet. As I went through, I found myself standing
through this beautiful meadow. There was lush, green grass and tall, majestic trees. There
were wildflowers that were splendid in a thousand different colors. Many of these colors you
had never seen on Earth and you couldn’t describe them. It was an incredibly beautiful place.
We strolled through the meadow and went through a little hill. At the top of the hill, I noticed
a group of souls waiting for me on the other side. We strolled down towards them and as
I got closer, my heart skipped a beat since I knew who they were. It was my mother, father,
grandparents, various aunts and uncles who have passed and then running from behind the
group, coming towards me as fast as his little legs could go was my dog Oscar who had passed
away ten years before. This little guy was running as he could with his little tail that
was wagging his whole body as he came to greet me. It was a wonderful greeting from this
group of my loved ones who had passed on. There were warm hugs all around, pure unconditional
love and they welcomed me to the spirit-side. I didn’t get to linger there long because
Albert said come on, I have to take you towards here for a meeting with the council of wise-ones.
There was a beautiful white city in the distance with tall white buildings, domes and spires
gleaming in the lights. We walked in the boulevard and we entered to the hall of wisdom and met
with the council of wise-ones, who were a group of very advanced and wise souls. They
were sitting around a semi-circle table. They all had snow-white hair and smooth unblemished
skin and they wore gold robes and white sashes. Albert said that the council was responsible
for overseeing the incarnations on Earth. It was their job to plan incarnations and
figure out where they should go next. The chair of the committee, her name was Sophia.
She said thank you for coming here, we asked Albert to bring you here because we have a
message for you to take back to your fellow humans. That message is in my second book,
so it was an amazing experience. Sandra: Can you tell us the message? Garnet: From Sophia, she said that you know,
humans are at a crucial point in development. They have developed very advanced technologies,
but their spiritual and emotional intelligence hasn’t kept pace. So, too many times their
negative emotions have ran out of control fear, anger, hate and greed. That results
in a lot of strife and conflicts such as murders, terrorist acts, wars and so on. We have to
be careful that we don’t let that get out of control because we have weapons of mass
destruction that’ll destroy all life on our planet. They don’t want to see that happen.
What we need to do is that I had to tell my fellow humans that we need to discard and
reject our negative emotions and fully embrace love and compassion. By doing that, we will
raise our vibrations and eventually expand our consciousness and the goals for us will
be to ascend from our planet in a higher-dimension which some refer to us as the new Earth. They’re
concerned that we can take the next step before we crash and burn and she mentioned, like
a number of civilizations in the past on Earth such as Atlantis, that they rose up to great
heights and then destroyed themselves. They don’t want that to happen to our current civilizations,
so she said that I’m one of the messengers. They have many messengers and channels. You’re
one of them, Sandra, who are trying to spread the message from spirit, through books and
radio shows and speaking engagements to try and encourage other people to help them recognize
the need to get rid of our negative emotions and embrace love, compassion and forgiveness.
That’s where we need to go. We made a lot of progress in the last 30 to 40 years but
we have a long way to go. That’s the message she gave to me and I try to incorporate that
in my second book. Sandra: I like that advice. You know, it’s
funny, because I don’t even care if you don’t believe in life-after-death and you think
this radio show and all talks of life-after-death and near-death experience and your experiences
if you don’t believe it, that’s fine. If you learn one thing or you take on this one thing,
it is to practice love, practice forgiveness. Practice compassion. Each one of us is a creature
from our past. We’ve all had our ups and downs and you know, what childhood is like. We learn
so much of who we are, right now, because of things that happen to us when we were little
kids. I believe with all my heart that people are going around what they believe is best
and so many times, there’s friction and you feel like a victim. You want to fight. There’s
that conflict that you talk of, but if you can step out of your own emotions for a second
and look at the situation and just say, what if? This is a loving soul and they’re doing
the best they can. Forgive them, and forgive yourself. We get activated by things and if
we have compassion I read a fortune cookie and the message said the best place to be
in an argument is on the other person’s side.
What you said is very
true. It seems, from an individual point-of-view, well, how can I stop the wars and conflicts? Sandra: Right. Garnet: As I saw a Facebook posting from someone
saying that how do you save the world? They say one act of kindness at a time. We should
do our own by helping someone close by us and spreading the word of love and that message
and hopefully, other people will pick up on it. Acts of kindness have an amazing ripple
effect, Sandra, as you know. You do an act of kindness to somebody and they feel good
about it and then go ahead and bestow an act of kindness upon someone else and it ripples
out. It can have a greater effect than you think because you did a simple thing. We have
to focus on that and do it, and if enough people get engaged in it and they realize
what we need to do to take the next step up the evolutionary and spiritual ladder, you
know, then eventually we’ll get there. Albert said that he had a lot of confidence we can
do it. We have a long ways to go yet, but we’ve came a long ways and sort of are on
the right track. Spirit is really trying to help us by channeling so many messages through
many different channels and the more that the word gets out then the more people will
hear it. You’re doing your part, Sandra. I’m trying to do mine. If we keep working away
at it, then eventually we’ll get there. Sandra: Wow. Garnet, we have about ten minutes
left or so. What haven’t I asked you? What would you like to share? What are you passionate
about? What are you burning to share with us? Garnet: I think I’d like to share from my
astral travels, Sandra, is that, you know aside from stopping the abuse of other humans
and one-another, then we really need to stop the abuse of the animals who share our planet
and our planet itself, mother Earth. We abuse animals, we pollute our planet and that also
has to stop because that’s a part of the spin-off from our negative emotions. What brought that
home to me is that in my first astral trip, Albert took me to a planet many light years
away called Proteus. It was a water planet primarily covered in oceans. We dropped beneath
the oceans and the undersea world looked much like ours on Earth. I ended up meeting with
a dolphin and a humpback whale there. They said that if the sub-surface view of our planet
looks familiar to you, then it is because most of the sea-life you have on Earth was
originally seeded from Proteus. It originally came from there. They stay in telepathic contact
with dolphins and whales on Earth. This was over many light years, but the power of thought
is very powerful and it’s not restricted to just light-speed. It’s virtually instantaneous;
they stay in telepathic contact with their cousins on Earth and they don’t like what
they hear. They hear the dolphins and other sea-life being distressed from suffering at
the abuse of humans over centuries, through hunting, killing and trapping as well as being
imprisoned in water parks. Now, to some degree that has stopped, but too much of it is still
going on. Look, the dolphins are very intelligent and sensitive creatures who want to live in
peace and harmony with humans and they want to communicate with us, but they’re just aren’t
hearing it. It really made me think about how animals do have feelings and emotions.
I also got that when Albert took me to the records and showed me a few glimpses of my
current life in the past and one of those episodes where I came home from work one day
and my little dog Oscar, who I met when I first went to the spirit side; he came running
towards me and his tail was wagging, hoping to greet me and get a pat on his head. I was
lost in thought, walked right past him totally ignoring him, and the poor guy slinked off
back to his bed depressed and anxious, wondering why I didn’t love him anymore. That really,
and I got to actually feel his feelings in the life review. It makes you aware of the
fact that all animals have feelings and emotions and they just want to live in harmony with
us and they aren’t there to be abused at our pleasure. They have their own place in the
universe and they have their own place in the planet and we should respect that. That
was really an eye-opener for me. Sandra: Yes, animals are just so much love.
You know, you telling that story made me think of if we could live each day thinking that
some day we’ll reply this event from the other person’s point-of-view. What is it that we
need to do now in order to make it count? You know, I’m thinking of this I live with
my aunt and we have a cat. He loves her and he doesn’t give me the time of day, right?
I was thinking about that with Oscar and I’m thinking alright, I needed to be nicer to
Harry. Gosh, one of the things I’m really getting from all of these interviews is that
who we’re being today. It’s the acts of kindness, the unconditional love, sharing love and being
loving. It’s all things of us giving, so what a great habit to be in no matter who it is.
It may be someone in your family or a friend, or even a complete stranger. It’s the act,
I think, of giving that actually makes that difference. Garnet: And, as Albert says one of the important
things we should try to remember is to think before we speak and try to think about, as
you mentioned, how the other person will take this. Will they be offended? Will they be
hurt? If you sort of go around with that in mind, then you’ll cause less harm and less
anguish to other people because you’ll try to put yourself in their place and wonder
how that person would react if you were them, and you heard those words or felt the actions.
That’s very important and it’s not easy to do because you get caught up in the day-to-day
life and activities and everything moving so fast. But, if you can do that as much as
we can, then we’ll save a lot of hurt and anguish in the world with the people that
we interact with. That includes our pets and the other animals that we encounter everyday. Sandra: Great words. Garnet, what gives you
the most joy in sharing this message? Garnet: The most joy is that I am happy to
be one of the messengers for the spirit and to spread their message of love, hope and
forgiveness. I’m hoping that I can make a difference in other people’s lives. The people
out there who are struggling with the question of who they are and what happens when they
die, then I hope that Albert’s revelation can give them comfort and inspiration that
no matter what you do and how many mistakes you make, you’ll end up on the spirit-side
and in the mean time, try and get the most out of your journey and enjoy it. As Albert
has said to me many times, you know, you need to lighten up.
>>LAUGHTER It’s not that serious. You may think life
on Earth is so serious, but you know, whatever you do then you’ll always learn from each
experience whether you’re on course or off course. There’s something to be learned from
everything you do and you should look at it as an adventure, a challenge knowing full
well that when you get back to the spirit-side then you can come back and try life again
or whatever you want. There’s no punishment. Enjoy your life. Try and make the most out
of it. I think that’s very good advice. Sandra: It’s super advice. Can we ever really
fail if we come back here again and life is a challenge and we’re here to learn? Is there
such thing, really, as failure? Garnet: Absolutely not. He says that, you
know, you can come back and incarnate 20 times or 2,000 times up to you. When you graduate
from this Earth-plane, it’s you who decides that you had enough of it and you can learn
everything you can learn. It’s entirely up to you and no, you can’t fail. You can’t go
wrong or become lost. You’ll always end up on the spirit-side where you can regroup,
plan your next, or just to decide heck with planet Earth and go somewhere else. There’s
no failure. You can only go onwards and upwards. You can never go backwards. Sandra: Onwards and upwards. I’m writing this
down. You know what’s really great about this? If we really take on, like really, truly and
honestly that we don’t die, that we’re going to go home and we’ll see everyone again and
going to choose to come back or not. We’re here to learn and play full-out. Like you
say, love, forgive and have hope to really believe that, and it takes I’m sure daily
reminders or even hour-by-hour reminders, but if it does give us a chance to lighten
up what seems to be available, Garnet, is a whole heck of a lot more joy as opposed
to making ourselves wrong or always thinking about what we haven’t done, living in grief
and sadness as well as depression and despair. Those words are so powerful and that can really
transform the way we live our lives now. Garnet: Absolutely. You said it very well;
we have to sort of realize who we are and where we’re going and if we can do that, then
we’ll have more joy in our lives and have a happier journey on life as well as more
fulfilling and we will be able to spread that joy and that happiness to others around us
and help them with their journeys. That is what life here is all about. Sandra: Wow. You’re an incredible man. In
closing, how do we get in touch with you? How do we find out more about your books?
How do we find more about the fantastic Garnet Schulhauser? Garnet: The best source is my website, which
is garnetschulhauser.com. That’s hard to remember, so if people can Google Dancing on a Stamp
then they can find it. There’s information on my books and you can download a free exerpt
for the book. There’s buy links on my website where you can just click in to get into Amazon
and Barnes & Nobles to buy the books. There’s links to my social media websites Twitter,
Facebook, Google Plus+, Youtube. Sandra: I saw those, you’re a busy man. Garnet: Yes. My e-mail address is on the website,
HYPERLINK “mailto:[email protected][email protected] and I’d be happy to hear comments and questions
from your listeners. Sandra: That’s great. You don’t know this,
and some of my listeners do unless it’s your first episode, but this radio show plays all
over the place. As a home-base, I have wedontdieradio.com and this episode is episode 75 with Garnet
Schulhauser, so the links to your website and Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc. and to
your books are going to be on your page, at wedontdieradio.com. It’s also fun to see who
the incredible man and what he looks like, you know? So often, we just hear the voices
and you wonder who is that person? Well, Garnet, any final words for us before I wrap up the
show? Garnet: Nope, Sandra. I think you’re doing
a fantastic job in helping to spread messages from spirit and I encourage you to continue
and you’re a wonderful host. Loved being here. Sandra: Thanks. I loved hearing the story,
it’s so new to me that we can have an experience like that and it’s not on the brink of our
death, such as having a near-death experience. You know? Oh, one quick question when you
experienced that trip, the astral trip, did it occur to you as like extremely real and
like you can remember it like it just happened? Or, is it a distant memory now? Garnet: No, it was very crystal clear. After
I woke up with a trip accompanied by Albert, it was crystal clear and vivid. Moreso than
any dream I’ve had or any other waking memory in my past lives. It stayed with me for a
long time. Some of the details are fuzzy now after several months, but it was clear and
I’d wake up, go to my computer and type out my rough notes of what I saw and who I talked
to and that formed the basis for my manuscripts. Yes, it was absolutely very clear. Sandra: Very good. Garnet, thanks so much
for being our guest today. Really thank you. Garnet: Thank you Sandra for inviting me.
I’m delighted to be here. Sandra: We’ll meet up sometime, somewhere
in the future. To our listeners, I want to thank you for taking the time to engage in
this conversation and listen; I know, for me, I’ve heard a lot of new things. And, something
I’m left with is what Garnet said at the very beginning looks can be deceiving. You don’t
know who the Albert is in your life. It may not be somebody who might just disappear,
it could be your brother or your sister or someone that you’re having a conflict with.
They may be the one who will teach you your biggest gift in life. You may be in the midst
of conflict or struggle, even joy. Who knows. But, look for the gift within every person.
Because, looks can be deceiving. So, in closing, this is Sandra Champlain and I’ve been your
host on We Don’t Die Radio.com. I believe that life is an education for the soul and
your life here on Earth is important. So, thank you for listening. Make today count,
will you? Do a random act of kindness, maybe. Anyways, thanks for listening and we’ll see
you soon.>>MUSIC PLAYING z

Very interesting subject. I am puzzled if he is really wants to help people and wants to give his message to people how come he does not put his book for free on the internet then everybody can read and bendfit.. I hope all this is not just for money and selling his book.

A corporate lawyer with his own law practice does not need a few pennies one gets from publishing a book if your an unknown author. It is not possible he is needing or wanting money from the sell of his book. No publisher will go to the expense of publishing just to give it away. Yes, one can self publish, but anyone familiar with his publishing company knows it was founded by Delores Cannon, and all their books are published with higher learning as the theme. His publisher is well known and respected, and when they decided to publish Garnet's books, he more than likely saw it as the opportunity to have a great marketing team that would be able to get his important message (which he states is the point) to not only get it to the masses, but also to be part of a higher learning organization.

Garnet has had close to 100 interviews, and telling the same story over and over that many times may start to sound like he is reading it. But a corporate lawyer speaks very much like he speaks in his interviews. Lawyers talk a lot in their careers, emotion is not an option to a greater degree. Facts and getting to the point is how they are educated. Until someone faces these types of interviews themselves and the unseen logistics involved, their opinions are just that, opinions without any experience. This is a beautiful message that resonates with me and I look forward to buying his book.

Something seems not quite right here…
If the wise spirits (the counsel he was taken to) really had given him any message to bring to the people of planet earth, it wouldn't be something as superficial as "just love and forgive people". Because those wise spirits would know how human psychology works, and that wars, abuse of other people, and suffering, are not ended by "just trying to love and forgive people". Simple words like that do not work for a person filled with hate or a strong desire to abuse other people; and such people are usually the kind of people who cause war and suffering on our planet.

The only way for them to change their intention towards other people, is by changing their beliefs about life and other people. And that change doesn't come simply by hearing the message of "just love and forgive people". That's such a naïve message to bring to the people of earth. Sure, it's a very positive message of love and compassion, but it's not enough to change the beliefs and values of groups like ISIS for example.

People change their attitude and intention according to their own convictions; and the message of "just love and forgive people" simply isn't a strong enough argument in itself, for people to become convinced about something else than their current convictions.

    Examples:
Imagine a prisoner of ISIS saying to the ISIS-members: "You just have to focus on loving and forgiving people." It wouldn't change a thing…

Or imagine a victim of bullying saying to the bully: "You just have to focus on loving and forgiving people." It wouldn't change a thing – and it could actually make matters worse for the victim, as it might just provoke the bully even more.

This is so crazy! I just listened to Betty Eadie's nde. She talks about Garnet! Her spirit guide told her to look down at a man on the street and asks what she sees and she says she sees a bum. Then her spirit guide tells her he's waiting for a lawyer to change his life. You have to watch Betty Eadie's nde. I am freaking out by this!
Sandra maybe you can make a connection between the two. If they haven't already.

WOW! How can I tell you all how this episode is talking to me. From the phone call I just got off from 30 minutes ago, to what I been going through with my past away family members!
I to am a recovering Catholic. Never felt/lived such an empty life than I did with religion! "Come back to church and keeping doing what you been doing." is what I keep getting told. I was Dying inside from religion. Learn a bible verse that related to something in life made me felt good for about…then watched everybody live in contradiction to what I was reading! I was Dying!
I can see now! I'm more alive than I have ever lived before! I can hear them say…No, It's the devil or Satan fooling me/us! If the devil really exists, I wonder who is really being fooled?
But it's all good. Man made the devil up to control us so we don't become aware of the truth…"We Don't Die!"
Sorry for ranting. -Thanks Sandra!!! -Reed Portland, Oregon

I waited a long time, waiting and waiting, and thinking Garnett was going to talk about our beautiful pets, but stop short of mentioning the hundreds of thousands of animals who end up being killed every day in windowless slaughter houses. Hurray! At 50:00, he showed me he is genuine in his compassion. His understanding of the love that powers the universe is wonderful. Humans would be much better off if we could recognize and end the horror we are bringing to not only ourselves but to so many innocent beings. Great interview, Sandra. You are helping a lot of people. Onward and upward! Yay!
