[Applause] madam Speaker I call the Honourable Megan woods thank you madam Speaker and I’m very happy to take a short call on this fell into to follow the member who certainly did take the bait that was laid out for him but look I would like to congratulate my colleague and the Honorable our Peto William Co for bringing this bill back to the house in the state that we are seeing it today it is it a vastly improved bill then he took over is the incoming Minister because we’re in speaker what we have is an important piece of legislation of what we are doing is updating and modernizing order the member delivering hoots mr. butcher settle yeah so thank you madam Speaker this is important this is we’re over 3,000 new zealanders exits justice last year you are not government had allowed a bet clerk to build up within our tribunal system and it had not adequately resourced them so I congratulate my colleague the Honorable Peter Williams CEO for actually making the necessary changes it madam Speaker it is it is clear to say that some of these needed updating where we have a look at one of the pieces one of the tried one of the body sort of corner here I apologize to the to the minister or or now when I ask for order I expect it straight away I cannot hear the member delivering the speech I will ask for members to interject if it is witty in relevant but not for a general barrage across the house I call the Honourable Megan mod the thank you madam Speaker and I understand this is important legislation but it’s good to see what lights the opposition’s fire that this is what some down to the house tonight to get them so riled up in terms of it but madam Speaker as I was saying before I was so inadequately interrupted by the opposition is that actually it was obviously time for some modernization for some of the tribunals on our book and I would like given the member city needs to me to make special mention of the buidlings flecked liens commissioner um who was being just disestablished under this bill he was telling me that this was a favorite place offers as a child to go suit casting so a proud contemporary and could not stand by and watch that but madam Speaker this is important legislation these are the tribunals where people get ordinary New Zealanders do excess justice and we need to make sure that we do adequately resource them and we don’t allow the kind of backlogs to build up when we hear the submissions such as mr.
